Back in August of 2006 we were contacted by a Justice from Prestige Timeshare Marketing in regards to selling our timeshare. We were told by them that they were running a really good deal for Military families that want to sell or rent their timeshare. They said that with the military discount it would only cost us $499 total for the advertising and sale of our timeshare.

We did not hear back from anyone for months after we paid. We contacted them and were told they were going to be having a big showing that next week and hopefully they would get it sold. A few weeks later we got a call saying that someone made an offer on our property but then we did not hear anything back from them. My husband contacted them and was told that the people were not able to get financing.

We went months again without anyone contacting us and then we called again and were told they had another show and they sold our timeshare to a doctor. We did not hear anything back about the closing of the timeshare so we called to see what was going on and were told that it woudl be closing by the end of the month. When we got to the closing date we were looking forward to selling the timeshare and called to make sure everything went okay and were told that the doctor was running late. Later that day we called again and were then told that the Doctor did not show up. The next day we got a call by David saying that the Doctor had a heart attack and died.

My husband and I were getting pretty upset because we really need to sell our timeshare and it had been way longer then we were told. We decided we were tired of being disappointed and requested our $499 be refunded but were told since it was past the 90 days they could not refund our money. They went on to tell us that they were in the hole because they have spent way more on advertising our property then what we had paid.

Today we were told by Samantha that they could not sell my property because we owe $1500 for advertising. She stated that everybody is charged $1995 for advertising. But we paid for our advertising fees back in 2006 and were told the original price at that time was $1595 but since my husband was in the military that they would give us a discount and with that discount we were told there would be a one time fee of $499 and no other fees.

I feel considering it has been about a year and a half they have had more then enough time to sell my timeshare. I think we should be refunded our $499 for all the broken promises thay have made considering we were told that they would not only try to sell but also if it did not sell in the 90 days they would try to rent it for us they never rented it.

I feel this is a really bad way to thank a veteran and his family by taking their hard earned money. My husband had not been home from Iraq that long when we originally paid this company and they claimed they would sell our timeshare for the discounted military fee of $499 and they thanked him for fighting our country by taking his hard earned money and ripping us off. Some thanks they give to someone that could of been killed while driving a tank into areas that were being bombed to help save other wounded American soilders.

Since I really do not see this company selling my timeshare I feel they need to give us our money back.

Please contact the office of Agriculture and Consumer Affair Division in Tallahassee, Florida and report this company. I have been working with them to get this company shut down and hopefully our money refunded.
