On Feb. 20, 2011 I went to this store to purchase a twin mattress, box spring, bed frame & headboard for my 16 year old daughter. A red flag should've gone up to get this all for just $200 when all other bedding comapies were charging $100 for each, mattress & box spring & another $69 for the bed frame. I thought nothing of it & figured that's what their name means...to bust prices. I took the mattress, box spring & frame with me & was told by the salesmen that the metal frame headboard would be in the store in 7-10 days.
After waiting 15 days & no contact from them, I called to check the status. I kept getting placed on hold & no one picking back up, OR I was told that someone would call me right back but NEVER did. The following week I had a chance to go back to the store to speak with the manager Yacti. He looked concerned at first, apologized for the delay, offered to give me a headboard that fit a FULL size bed (mind you I have a twin) & finally asked if I could wait for their next deilvery which would be the fist week of April.
I agreed this would've been ok. I left & waited. During the 2nd week of April I called back & spoke with Yacti. He got abrupt with me saying he told me he would call the first week of April. I snapped back & told him to look at his calendar - he was a week late! I told him this had been over a month & I wanted the dang blasted headboard. I had also just found out by my daughter that the box spring was not fitting the frame. I checked it & it was 3 1/2" smaller than the frame. I brought this to Yacti attention too.
I told him I would be on vacation the week of 4/18 & would come down to see them in person. He told me he'd be on vacation too during this time & for me to come the week before he left. I informed him that do to my work schedule I would not have the time to come during the weekday. I asked him to leave my info with someone who could help me when I came down on 4/18.
Well, I went down & NOONE knew anything about my situation. I filled them all in & the acting manager named Brian said he couldn't do anything because he's not authorized to make decisions. I demanded my $50 back for the headboard. Again, he reminded me of their no refund policy. I asked if their policy was to PISS their customers off?? After making a fuss in their store & telling customers to BEWARE, he reached in his pocket & gave me back my $50.
Now that that part was taken care of, I asked about the bed frame situation. He told me he would be back in the store Thursday 4/21. I told him I was on vacation & was NOT waiting 2 MORE days to get satisfaction. I told him I would be back the next day to bring back the bed frame like he asked me to do.
When my husband & I returned with the frame, one of the workers said it was crooked as s#%*. I asked them to bring out a new frame & put another mattress on it so that we could see that the one we have at home would fit. We were told that they are not authorized to open merchandise. After some colorful words from me, a worker finally opened the box & it all fit. I was happy to see it was just the frame, so I thought. Because I saw that was a perfect fit, I purchased another set for my 12 year old.
They only had the box spring for that set & said the mattress would be in on Thru of the same week. The acting Manager Donald said he would see what he could do to have this set delivered since I didn't have a way to bring the defective box spring back to the store. Before leaving I thought to ask them to measure the box spring they had so I could match it with the one I had just in case there was still a problem. To our frustration, when we got home, it still didn't fit! The box spring was 3 1/2" smaller!
Called back AGAIN & Donald said he would see what could be done on Thur. One of the other workers with a long beard said he would get the mattress of the delivery truck & have it ready for me 1st thing Thur morning. I called to the store around 11 am Thurs morning to ask if they were delivering the set & to get the box spring. I must have spoken with 4 DIFFERENT people who said they could help me, to tell them ALL the SAME story just to be put on hold to speak with ANOTHER person.
FINALLY, Brian, the acting manager who gave me back my $50 got on the phone & had me repeat to him what I've just repeated! He got snappy & said they were NOT delivering the box spring & if I wanted a replacement, I had to bring it back! Then he HUNG UP THE PHONE! OH, was I LIVID!!!
I go BACK to the store & was ready to snatch somebody up QUICK! Brian saw me coming & went to the back & didn't come out for a long time, & when he did, he never acknowledged me. I went to him & said how RUDE he was to ignore I was standing in front of him! He said again I had to bring it back. Donald was trying to get someone to follow me home to get the box spring but Brian was NOT having it. He wouldn't even give me $25 for MY gas I had to use to go back & forth up & down the road to correct THEIR mistake!
I brought it back & when they saw how small it was they ALL looked shocked! Yeah right!!! I continued to tell the customers that came in that they were a bunch of RIPOFFS & TO BEWARE!!! They all left. When I left I yelled that I cross my fingers that they go out of business SOON!!
