first off, I am an America Soldier. That may add some explanation to some of the things say. I was going down to Georgia to see my little brother jump out of an airplane for the first time. At the last minute I called Priceline to secure a hotel. I told the agent where I was and what I needed.
He found a hotel with little effort. At the end of our transaction, he quoted back the reservation and realized that he made a mistake. He had put me in the wrong city and had failed to mention it. He was very apologetic and began to do what he could to rectify this process. unfortunately with priceline, once you give them you credit card info, no matter what, it takes an act of congress to get your money back. When I should have been out searching for a place to sleep, I was on hold with 4 different levels of customer service for 5 hours. I ended up sleeping in my car on Fort Benning and changing into my uniform in a gym bathroom after they told me I was going to get my money back. Today, several weeks later, I looked at my statement and they charged me the entire fee. I called again. The rude agent collected all kinds of information over an hour. Then, like before, she transfered me to another level of service where I was quickly told that I had excepted the terms of agreement and that I could do nothing about it. I explained the situation and how I had already been told I was getting my money back, she told me there were no notes of that and therefor the charge sticks.
I am very competent. I have a pretty good memory. I remember that night, and sleeping in my car like yesterday, I mean it was only 3 weeks ago. I am making nothing up. There is no consideration, no leeway, even for their own admitted mistakes.
I want o get them. I want them to pay for their my charge, the interest on my card and their arrogance.
If anyone has a story similar story or feeling, i want to start a class action lawsuit, even if it only produces enough bad press to shut them down. Il be on here to read rebuttals daily.
