Do not buy, or even browse, on Priceline.com! While trying to plan our honeymoon, my husband and I were simply comparing prices on the Priceline.com website and they ended up charging us $3,000 for plane tickets without our consent.

We immediately called Priceline and asked them to cancel the plane tickets but they refused to and would not give us a refund! Further more, our credit card company was unable to give us a refund as well due to Priceline's "fine print."

Needless to say, we will never be using Priceline again and will do all we can to spread the word. Browse at your own risk! Priceline.com is an unfair business with shady, unethical business practices. Avoid at all cost or you'll pay the price!

Priceline.com Rip Off Suggestion

I would suggest you dispute the charges with your credit card company.

Next, look for an "arbitration clause" in your credit card contract.  File a demand for arbitration with the companies offered (JAMS is the best), which will cost you very little or nothing.

Ensure that Priceline.com is listed as co-respondent in your arbitration claim.  Arbitration could cost them thousands, while it is free or cheap for you.

Anyone with a Priceline.com problem should do the same, or since Priceline.com offers no arbitration in its contract, we are free to file a class action lawsuit.

What happened, did you trip and accidentally enter your credit card information into their site, select the package you wanted, click through all the disclaimers and various payment authorization screens, and then finalize the purchase?

Man, I hate it when that happens. LOL

To be frank, this is either a case stupidity and you have no business shopping online, or it's simply buyer's remorse and you found a cheaper flight after you booked with priceline... sounds like it's probably a combination of the two.

Whatever happened, you booked a non-refundable trip. Since you've paid for the tickets, you can either use them and enjoy or don't go and pout about it... either way though, you owe for the tickets.

If you were just comparing prices, why did you give them your credit card info? I'm just curious because I checked the site after seeing this complaint, and all the prices were displayed before it ever asked me to confirm a purchase.
