 Hello All,

I started with Prime Inc. in November 2011. (I had driven for 10 years, but had taken time off). My PSD training consisted of my PSD Instructor Playing with his phone, while I was driving for three weeks. Passed all three tests, and was
assigned a TNT Instructor. My TNT instructor told me that you are here to makeme money. There was no actual training, just allot of 10 plus hours a day driving, no sleep, as my TNT instructor would take turns fast, ran the worst
part of the road and my average sleep was between 4-5 hours. After six weeks of this torture, I requested a new TNT instructor, as the conditions of the truck and of the Instructor was less than acceptable. My second TNT Instructor had
been a truck driver for 8 months, and now training drivers with only a very limited time on the road. He did not know how to throw chains, or to drive in snow on the hills.

Once I started on the path of being a leaser, I received only one paycheck, on the first week. Then my truck had a power divider issue, and was in the hole for 694.00, and I went for 8 pay periods without pay, and in 4 checks, I was in
the negative up to 1150.00. I asked for a fleet manager change, and only after threatening to leave, I was granted a fleet manager change. I also wanted my truck to be looked at Detroit diesel, but was never given a chance or
appointment. My new Fleet manager, made a promise I will guarantee you a paycheck" During the last four weeks of my employment. My fleet manager, called me and accused me of "Not Having a Clue" and "We cannot do Business" and "Don't ever apply here again to work here, I will say no". His promise he made, fell short, and as a result, I was not able
to even pay my rent, and looking forward to being homeless after leaving this company.

I wanted to retire from New Prime Inc. Instead, New Prime Inc, not only retired me, but even from my home. I asked for consideration to have one of my tripscould be estimated so I could save my apartment, as I sent a QUALCOMM for this,
He said NO. So I feel that Prime and this fleet manager are only after one thing "Money, the customer, and when its needed the drivers" I think that without drivers this company could not make money. As for me, I leave the
company soon, and will have to face a loss of my apartment, and will even have to pay me way back home, with what little money I have.

If you are considering New Prime Inc, please read over all the reviews, ask questions. I will end up filing a bankruptcy because of a lack of pay and the uncaring attitude of Prime. Remember if a manager says to you "Keeptrying, things will get better" don't believe it; get out before you end up like me. I would not wish this on anyone.

Yes, a Union

AUTHOR: Angry Driver - (USA)

The teamsters are there to make sure each person is treated fairly and equally. Granted, it does depend on who's in charge, but with the right person, it can be very effective. Strikes are seldom but they only occur when the company steps out of line. For instance, when kiss-@$$ losers such as yourself, are the only ones receiving benefits just because, everyone else is left high and dry.

A Union lol

AUTHOR: CottonBeltJay - (United States of America)

Just keep thinking what you want super trucker. A union can't even be organized for otr drivers. First. you can't get enough drivers to agree on what way the wind is blowing. Much less on organizing.

There was a union at one point. Jimmy Hoffa was in charge of it, and we all know how that ended. The teamsters don't even have that kind of pull anymore.

Then you would have the strike option of a union. Sit on strike. That would last about a day before the feds would step in.

Unions in trucking are like t***s on a bull. Utterly Useless. And that includes OOIDA. They are just like the companies. They may file lawsuits, but how many drivers do you know that have ever recieved any benefits from them?

I'm easy to find

AUTHOR: CottonBeltJay - (United States of America)

Just go to the waffle house in Laurens SC. Ask the manager to call his brother. I'm not that hard to find.

One are something else

AUTHOR: Now Homeless By Prime - (United States of America)

It would seem that you are a Prime butt kisser. You have ne real IDEA, besides what is Prime. You assume enough things to make you look like as a*s. Before you stand up for a Company, you need to collect more information then ask, not accuss. Each driver has a set of good and bad things while driving, and we are all different. So keep your trap shut, and dont threaten to say something like "I would say it to your face" when you are using a computer to provide the threat. So just keep hiding

Get a life, jerk

AUTHOR: Angry Driver - (USA)

So let me guess, Prime is always the victim. Nothing is ever their fault. Clearly, you lack empathy for other people. You're right about Prime making money and that's what they do best. Once a driver can't make them money, they kick them to the curb like yesterday's garbage. With that being said, do you think your glorious company cares about its drivers? This is why unions are needed. Since you'll go out of your way to disrespect others, I guess it's no surprise you like Prime.

wahhhhh!!! Somebody call the wahhhhmbulance

AUTHOR: CottonBeltJay - (United States of America)

Ok You want me to break it down for you. I will. 10 years a trucker huh? After your first week your power divider clunked out. Either you didn't check the truck good when you got it, or you used it improperly, and it failed.

2800 gross a week on 2000 miles. Unless you were trashing around, and burning everything on advances. You should have still got a check.

You threatened to leave, after you were denied a fm change. So you went from someone who was working with you to get freight, to someone who had no desire. Because you used the magical Q word. Honestly you threaten to quit. I'd have told you drop the truck at the closest terminal, and there would be a bus ticket for you to go home. And anything wrong with the truck would be deducted from your final check.

Unless I wanted to now starve you for being bullheaded. Then I'm gonna give you the most worthless fm I have. And let him give the loads up to his chosen ones. Nothing with any miles, or any monay on it.

And yeah the advance issue I do have something to say about it. If you used the advance money. It isn't there anymore.

You only have yourself to blame. 1 for shooting your mouth off to the people who are your support team, and 2 for leasing a truck in this soft freight market. So cry me a river. maybe the wahhhmbulance can pick you up before you start tearing up again.

And 1 other thing. I don't hide behind a screen. Anything I'd say to you here. I'd say to your face.

You Know Me?

AUTHOR: Now Homeless By Prime - (United States of America)

I read what you said. And I am happy you went on, and only had a few bad paydays. But you do not know me, and assuming, well you know the rest. I came to this company wanting a new start, and as I had already said, my experience was less than aqcceptable. Noted some people live only off advances, but this is not your concern, nor should you comment on it. I did not go only a few pay periods without pay, I went seven pay periods. My utilization due to dispatching was very low, and my gross was only around 2800 a week, with less than 2000 miles a week. I did follow the chain of command, and no change, and if you need to be in someones business, this week I loss my apartment, so I was not kidding about homeless. Also I was reefer, not flatbed, two different animals. Prime claimed I used to much fuel, that is bull. But nothing can forgive the lack of utilization or weak paying loads, so from now on, you should inquire rather than think it was the driver. And remember that we are all different, sterotyping is a bad thing, and you sir are guilty of it.

I have some serious issues with your story.

AUTHOR: CottonBeltJay - (United States of America)

I was a lease purchase flat bed driver for prime. I know what kind of rates were paid to us. I did go in the hole, but it wasn't prime's fault. When the ports in houston were shut down, and the housing market collapsed. The entire flat bed division took a big hit.

That being said. I was treated with respect when I worked there. I only went a few weeks without a check, and that was because I was lease purchase.

I think you probably blew your pay in advances, and then cry foul when you had no money. Obviously you did have some issues with how you were running a truck. Also I know this for a fact. Prime by law has to return you home. Any driver that leaves, and returns the truck, and equipment. Gets a bus ticket home.

Been there, and done that hand. They are in business to make money. Not to babysit a bunch of cry babies.
