Primetv ripoff Miami Florida

On april21,2003, i had dirct tv installed,responding to an ad on tv saying i would get free installation,a rebate of my $99 installation fee, direct tv took my order, sent my two boxes and satalite dish for $9.90, the installation was performed byAmeritech installation services phone 609-631-8590, iinstall@covad.net.they made me pay them $99 at the time of the installation, and said the coupon for my refund/rebate would be coming in the mail,.

I received a mail in rebate form from prime tv, saying i had to send that forma copy of my first direct tv bill as proof of activation and a copy of your signed direct tv annaal programming agreement. I sent all of the above to prime tv,mail in rebate, promo code #03-55706.po box 028542,miami,fla.33102. i did all of the above, i waited until may, 25th, 2003 to call, regarding my refund/rebate,i got a very nasty yound man who said there was no record of my sending the above forms, and that i should send them again, i requested a supervisor, again he was very nasty, after two nasty encounters and being put on hold for an hour, i got a super.

she said they sent out the rebates to a company, and there was an expiration date on my rebate of july 4,2003, and she couldn't send me out new forms to fill out it was too late, but i could go on line to rebatehq.com, and track my rebate or resubmit, not so to either, you can track your rebate if you received a post card with a tracking number only, or resubmit only if you received a post card from them saying you had made an error,i am out $99, as they advertised, and i referred my sister in law, and she also paid $99 and although they say she is in the system, she has not received her refund either.

Where do they get off calling this a rebate, and saying it has an expiration date?The advertisement from direct tv was a free installation,they direct tv said wh would find the rebate form in the equipment box, a lie, when they talked to me while the installer was here they then said i'd get the rebate form in the mail,it's not a rebate, it's a refund,and it's in my opinion falsle advertisement, i hope you can help, and get the atty,general for nj,fla, and direct tv is in nc, all three states all three companies are crooks, and getting away with stealing our money, now the commercials say install it your self and save, i wonder why?I am willing to press charges testify in court and anything else you need to catch these crooks.Thank you for listening, i feel like a victim, but no longer alone.Carol Ann,asbury,nj
