I purchased the Princeton LCD19D 19" TFT Flat LCD monitor from BUY.COM with the promise of a $100 rebate. The invoice date was 3/14/2005, UPS had dilivered it to me on 3/16/2005, on 3/16/2005 I completed and mailed out the $100 Monitor-Mail-In-Rebate, along with proof-of-purchase (UPC cutout and receipt copy).

I kept checking the WheresMyRebate.com site (TCA Fulfillment Services, Inc.) for my rebate. Soon enough my rebate got listed with a "Pending" status, where it remained pending till mid-May 2005, when I contacted TCA Fulfillment Services by phone (that's a 30-40 min waiting guaranteed). At the time I was told that they're missing my proof-of-purchase and that's why my rebate is still pending (they got my rebate submission, but not the proof-of-purchase that was enclosed in the same envelope! Also, no e-mails or any other communiques have come to me from them).

Subsequently, I've re-mailed and faxed my proof-of-purchase over and over again (5 mails/faxes in total). Only after I mentioned words like "fraud" and "State Attorney's office" in the same sentence, my proof-of-purchase got accepted by TCA Fulfillment Services, Inc. and my rebate status went from "Pending" to "Accepted/Rebate Submission is Approved". It's been a month since then, and I still have not received a check or rebate status change (to "Award has been mailed").

Since, Princeton Digital USA Corp. has announced that they've changed the rebate processing companies from TCA Fulfillments to Parago, Inc. The www.rebatehq.com site's only reference to Princeton's $100 Monitor Mail-in Rebate is a link to a dated (11/01 /04 to 11/30/04)rebate form.

Also, Princeton has stated: "If you have any questions or concerns as to your rebate please contact the Princeton Sales team at 1 (888) 668-7566 option 1 and we will direct you to the Sales representative who can help resolve your issue.". That phone number (1-888-668-7566) is a NON-WORKING number! If that is not a fraud, I don't know what is!
