Haven't been paid yet either.  Wow suppose those happy x employees are really the owner?

Or if you are the happy x employee, you can pay mine since he will pay you and you can collect my money owed. 2 weeks pay please.

Ex-Designer Still Waiting for Payment too

AUTHOR: clwtrdesigner - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, August 20, 2012

I also am still waiting for my paycheck, since 2010!  And if Neil is such an upstanding gentleman, why would he scream and rant to an employee about how cash-strapped he is and how his marriage is falling apart, in addition to not paying?

I never met his wife, so I will not pass judgement there, but Neil is no gentlemen, nor a good businessman.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Prove it then....

AUTHOR: Another former employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Well, tell you what....if Neil and Michelle are such nice people then prove it by paying the 3 weeks of pay that he owes us and I will retract everything that I've stated. Even if it's in payments and he keeps up with it, then I'll work with him on being compensated. Dale can get in touch through Linked In and we will deal with him. Sincerely, Mat & Lisa.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I too am an ex employee

AUTHOR: pressman - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 20, 2012

I do not agree.  I am also an ex-employee of copy king/printsmith and all i can say is that neil stein and his family are some of the nicest people that you can work for.  neil and michelle would never purposly not pay an employee. neil , like many small employers, was fighting for his very life and his company's life in the past few years.  he had a severe cash flow problem of his customers not wanting or not being able to pay him on time and thus some employees inadvertantly got hurt by bouncing checks.  this was not done on purpose.  to some of the disgruntled employees that have bad things to say about neil and michelle: i have seen many employees hired and totally misrepresent themselves as to their capabilities and experience - in other words, they weren't even worth minimum wage.  in much better times, neil never had a problem paying us, giving us health insurance, buying us lunch on occasion and giving us an exceptional christmas bonus.  unfortunately, offset printing on paper is a dying trade and neil was trying very hard to keep his business afloat in an extremely challenging economic period from 2007 to 2011. true, no employee likes to get a bad check, however, this was never done on purpose or spite by neil or michelle.  I can only hope that their business has stabilized and they perhaps have found a new niche in the printing field and hopefully will prosper instead of floundering.  we had MANY loyal and repeat customers, no matter what our name was or what our address was.  no small business owner wants to get a bad reputation around town, especially in this day and age when there is plenty of competition around.  the economy was and still is responsible for many nasty things and unfortunately neil got caught up in this nasty recession that has probably changed things forever. in many people's book, including my own, neil is an O.K. guy.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Happy ex-employee responds

AUTHOR: Another former employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 01, 2011

Well it's nice to see that you wrote your own reply Neil rather than have your wife do it for you. I posted my response the first time following the guidelines of stating what I believe and know as the truth. Apparently, you still have no clue as to what the definition is.

A business does not move around to 4 places in 5 years and change their names 3 times just because they enjoy the scenery elsewhere - especially a printing company. Call yourself Copy King or call yourself Printsmith now, I notice how you conveniently left out your other company name, Countryside Press. Would you care to explain how you stiffed employees out of paychecks and bounced several others paychecks then claimed they never worked for you when contacted by authorities?

I don't have to give my name because you probably have an idea who it is and I have nothing to gain although I could've and should've taken you to court but I know it would be a waste of time because you'd never pay. Maybe I should post it and wait for your slanderous response then proceed legally. As far as putting your number up there, what's that going to prove? You can lie on the phone too?

As for your many long-time employees, (they amount to maybe 2) and after listening to them, I wouldn't exactly call them my "friends."

False accusations

AUTHOR: Neil - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, May 27, 2011

It is sad that in todays world anyone can write whatever they want about anybody or any company without identifying themselves and verifying all the facts. It appears that there are a certain few who only want to cause great harm to other people and business.

This company has been in business since 1998. If any of these accusations were true, we would have been run out of town a long time ago.

Many of our customers have been with us for a very long time. They are very happy with our quality, service and pricing. Our newer customers always remark we are glad we found you.

As far as our vendors go, everybody gets paid. If we had all these bounced checks no one would work with us again.

Richard was hired after representing himself as an EXPERIENCED pressman. After a short time his true qualities became apparent. Most everything he printed had to be redone, some more than once. To cover up his mistakes he started to sabotage the press causing very expensive repairs. After a very thorough examination the repairman, who has worked on this press since we purchased it, informed us the damage was intentional.

Richard could no longer cover his tracks so he just ups and walks out only to return in the middle of the night to smash the windows in the company van. (There is a police report on this)

In regards to the happy ex-employee, it is strange he does not identify himself.  The only recent ex-employee we have was caught getting high. Several times he passed out while inhaling from spray cans. The last time an ambulance had to be called. Shortly before leaving he got high and drove the company van only to total it. It was later reported that he was let go from other printing companies for getting high there also.

Most of our employees have been with us for many years and are very honest and diligent and enjoy their work. Everybody gets paid without any problems.

If anyone has any questions at anytime please call us at 727-796-0064 and speak to anyone. You do not have to speak to the owner if you do not want to.
