I had hired Dennis Miller to resurface my entire pool using Diamond Brite.  I met with him and he explained everything needed to properly resurface my pool for $4,899.00.  This included refilling the pool and treating it with chemicals after completion.  I am physically handicapped or I would have done the chemicals and refilling myself.  He told me he would be at the job to supervise it, but he was NOT.  He went on vacation.  I had explained to him I will need to go out of town for two weeks to visit my terminally ill sister and that maybe I should wait.  He then pressured me into saying he had the materials ready to go, and that he and his crew needed the money to feed their families.  He said that if I gave him the job he would start first thing in the morning, and would take off 200.00.   He charmed me into believing I was getting a great deal, and assured me when I returned I would not recognized the pool.  He go that right, it was a complete DISASTER!  At the time I could not think clearly, so I agreed.  He asked for half upfront because he said he needed the money to buy the materials and pay his crew.  I agreed, and he told me to call him anytime with any questions.  (He never answered the phone whenever I tryed to call him).  One other thing I noticed was that on my kitchen counter, I always put my wedding ring in a certain location near my phone, and it DISAPPEARED.  I can't prove he took it, but I KNOW it was there when Dennis was in my kitchen. This ring was appraised at close to 11,000.00. 

 Long story short, I came home approx. two weeks later and found my pool FILTHY and STAINED with NO water in it.  I am a senior citizen on a limited budget and felt extremely violated.  I was completely SHOCKED!  I called my neighbor over, and my son.  The pool was UNEVEN, practically the whole pool was stained with dirt and footprints, and there was three large cracks in several areas of the bottom part of the pool.  When the pool began to fill with water, it was leaking in several areas.  Also there was Diamond Brite scattered all over my newly sodded grass that evertually ended up killing it.  I tryed for two weeks to get in touch with Dennis, and he finally answered his phone and told me he was sending out "John" to service the pool and make any corrections and then he quickly hung up the phone on me.  John showed up smelling like alcohol the next day unannouced at 1PM banging on my door.  He was not responding to ANYTHING I asked him.  He appeared like he was on drugs and violently dragged my water hose and threw half of it in the pool and turned on the water.  THEN he threw a whole jug of chlorine into the pool WITHOUT emptying it!  He just took the cap off and THREW the jug into my shallow pool!!!  I couldn't believe my eyes!  He then approached me in a hostile manner and demanded the other half of the money.  I asked him if he was insane, and told him to get out and that I was going to call the police! My son heard the commotion, and was on his way out the door to speak with him.  "John" used profanity and racial slurs toward me and my son and told us to go  F... ourselves and left angrily.  I will continue to recoup the rest of my money and plan on taking Dennis Miller to court as well. 

I had another contracter look at this mess, and he told me the whole job needed to be REDONE!  This was one of the most outlandish and horrible experiences of my whole life.  Dennis Miller and his crew are a bunch of SCAMMING THIEVES that especially prey on the elderly in my opinion.  PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this man or his crew, and do NOT let them in your house.  You will be more than sorry.
