Found Lonny and his company, ProNetworkBuild on Twitter.  He had about 170,000 followers, so I assumed he knew what he was doing and also was aware of the Twitter rules.  That was a mistake.

The agreement was for him to "take over" my twitter account for 3 months, manage it, tweet to my followers and gradually increase my followers by around 7,000.  I paid him $499 upfront for this 3 month project.

Lonny didn't do anything the first week - didn't even tweet to my current followers and I started losing them. Then, during week 2, he went wild.  He manually followed in excess of 500 people each day.  Many of them followed back and about 50% of them spoke a foreign language.  Another 20% were absolute PORN.

So after week 2, I had about 1,000 more followers - ALL of which were useless to me. He still never tweeted - just followed junk accounts and got them to follow back.  To make things worse, he ruined my reputation as others could see who I was following and who followed me.   It was very embarrassing.

Then, Twitter caught on.   The Twitter Limit for following new people is about 100 per day.  Lonny was way over this amount. After Day 15 of our "contract", Twitter suspended my account.  Lonny was able to get it back.  But then Twitter suspended again 3 days later for aggressive following.   I had to beg Twitter to get it back.  They stated if there is a Strike 3 - I will lose my Twitter account permanently.  

I then fired Lonny and asked for a refund since he only had it for 3 weeks & screwed it up. He said NO REFUND! He still had 6 weeks to work his magic.   I didn't want to risk losing my Twitter account, so I had no choice.  He is a thief, a liar, sleazy and tries to put on an act on twitter that he's religious, tweets for good causes, etc.  People need to be aware of his unethical behavior!

This report was brought to my attention by a client to justify not paying their bill. I never knew this report existed, this seems to be one of those sites that anyone can post anything they want, and the information or honesty of their reporting is unchecked by facts or reality.   So let's deal with the hard facts here.

First that argument that the account was suspended  according to this Gail person, "because Twitter says you cannot follow more than 100 people per day"  is completely erroneous.  Pursuant to Twitter Terms of Service (TOS) https://support.twitter.com/articles/15364#  the follow limit is 1,000 people per day.  Immediately, a Red Flag should go up with anyone reading this report, since the person writing it is publishing not only false information about ProNetworkBuild's Good Reputation,  False information about Twitter, but about themselves, and proving themselves to lack veracity in the very least, and possibly malicious reporting at worst - while themselves remaining relatively annonymous, so this amounts to a double FLAG for any reader, since the information is not checked by the Website.

It is beneath me to rebutt this poster's comments about English as Second Language folks or supposed "porn" followers.  I will not glorify those statements by raising them to the level worthy of commentary. 

With over 5 years of experience on Twitter, and personally owning over 200 accounts, and managing professionally Celebs, Politicians and Corporations, I have never had an account suspended for Violating this policy.  Reaching the ability to follow 1,000 people per day takes time and a skilled manager.  There are Self Styled "Social Media Experts" and beginners should beware of anyone who cannot demonstrate years of experience. 

Another good measure is their "Reach" which is the Internet term for "audience" ... Anyone who cannot demonstrate reach is no Social Media Manager.  This is why circulation in the newspaper business is important, or number of viewers on TV is important.... If someone giving us advice cannot demonstrate their own "Reach" how can they possibly give us advice about Social Media.  The argument that it's:   "quality not quantity" that matters,  is self serving and erroneous.  Social Media is all about reach, and quantity does matter, since not everyone is on the Internet at the same time, and networks that are not expanding are stagnating, I would know, I have been building networks for over 30 years!!    It is getting harder to grow large numbers on Twitter b/c Twitter changes it's policy, but a person is willing to be patient, over time, they too can reach this golden number of being able to target, connect with and make alliances with 1,000 people per day.

I have a list of references a mile long.  I will not violate my clients' privacy by publishing them here.  However, should anyone seek to contact me, I am easy to find, just follow the millions of pages you will see under the ProNetworkBuild Brand, or Google Me.  You will find nothing but POSITIVE information about my brand, and me, and my work.   Also, through my various accounts, I have a "reach" of over 2 million people.  Could 2 million people be wrong about my various brands and I?  And one annonymous poster be right?  I am sure you can answer that for yourself.

As to the person's report that "Gail" if she really exists, had her account suspended?  I do not like to speculate, and I have rebutted her arguments. Be that as it may, I will take the time address this issue as well.  There could be any number of reasons for that, which have nothing to do with me, whatsover. 

I know firsthand that Twitter WILL SUSPEND an Account for Spam.  This is why I do NOT tweet for anyone.  I am not going to be responsible for their content, or what they post to the Public.   I try to teach clients not to spam their timelines, and coax them and educate them as to best practices.  Yet some clients insist on constantly sending out the same tweet over and over.   This may be the case with this "Gail" from Davidson South Carolina, if she in fact exists.   If she is or was a client, she may have hired me under her Corporate name, and then reported this personally for revenge, or because she was frustrated with her suspended account.

I think 500 dollars for three months is a fair price to have an account professionally managed, this comes to about 160 dollars per month, or less than 5 bucks an hour, which is a very fair price to sort through the millions of end users to find the ones in her niche or geographical area.   I do NOT tweet for the Client.  That is their job. I only build out the account.  This way, I can focus on what I am good at, and if they spam their new followers, I am finding them, then the liability rests with themselves.   

In then end, the Universe balances itself out.  Just like I found this report b/c a Client wishes to not pay his/her bill.  I would have never known that this report existed had it not been for that.  So I am glad.  I doubt any of the hundreds of people I manage pay attention to sites like this, but it is interesting that it was only brought to my attention by someone trying to use it to get out of paying a college kid his wages, who can ill afford to not be paid.  I have been willing to complete the job in question at ABSOLUTELY no charge to this client, and their failure to not pay?

Is only hurting my head intern and costing a college kid, not me.    I sincerely hope that legitimate honest business people with excellent reputations take the time to rebutt these bogus complaints, and that others who run across these sites take them for what they are worth - not much.  We do great work, are proud of everything we do, and proud of the hundreds of thousands of lives per hour that we reach with our positive message across the United States.  Have a great day!!
