I signed with this company at what was a Peak Fitness in Statesville, N.C. (now ZX Fitness) I signed up for what I was MISLEAD to believe were personal training sessions with a CERTIFIED Personal Trainer. This was not the case, it was brought to my attention BY MY 2nd trainer (1st trainer would not show up, be late, etc, and was subsequently fired) that up until the week prior to her being deemed a "personal trainer" she was she was the receptionist at the above location. Once I was informed of this, I attempted to cancel my contract. AS PER the information I was given by the salesperson (call and allow 45 days to update there records) I called "Professional Fitness" at 919-827-4664. I called once a week and left messages for 1 month with NO response from the company. I am now being contacteded by "National Fitness" the debt collection arm of this company and will soon go into collections. I was told by them numerous times, that I needed a cancellation number from "Professional Fitness". "Professional Fitness" does not provide cancellation numbers. I have been told "Professional Fitness" that in order to cancel my contract I am now responsible for a "termination" fee of $68.00. I cancelled my contract due to their breach of the contract by submitting the ILLUSION that they use Certified personal trainers. SO therfore I feel, I am not responsible for this fee. In my MANY MANY MANY phone calls between these 2 companies("Professional Fitness", National Fitness) I have been told nothing short of OUTRIGHT LIES, and Misinformation. I was again in contact with "Professional Fitness" today 3/23/2010 and was on the phone with THE RUDEST EMPLOYEE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE. Her name is TIFFANY?? After many attempts to rectify this situation and explaining to her my SEVERE Dissatisfation she began to grow increasingly rude and obnoxiousAND THEN SHE HAD THE AUDACITY to ask "DO YOU KNOW HOW TO READ? YOU SHOULD HAVE READ YOUR CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGNED IT" This BEHAVIOR from an EMPLOYEE in a service based industry is ABOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!! This company is FAR FROM PROFESSIONAL based on the interactions I have had with them, and apparently many others have had as well. I am now awaiting a phone call from a person I was told is "Tiffanys'" "Supervisor" named Kyle. We will see what happens!!
