Professional Fitness unethical,extortive and deviant behavior/the Devils Fitness Club!!! Internet
On December 2010 I signed up for some personal training sessions by Professional fitness at the gym I was already a member of. The sales rep assured me that there would be no cost to cancel and I could cancel at any time. Then I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life by signing the Devil's contract. Later that week the rep starting texting me personal innapropriate messages that had nothing to do with scheduling appointments. My first trainer was a scary man that made me feel like I was in military training. Shortly after, He was fired. I tried to reschedule but nobody could help me. The turnover rate was ridiculous. I finally became so frustrated trying to schedule a session that I gave notice I was cancelling my contract. The company sent me back a letter charging me $394. It was explained that the charge was for "unused sessions". I then reread the "fine print" and realized that I had been lied to by the deviant sales rep. When I wrote the company back explaining my unpleasant experience with their company I recieved no reply. I offered to back half of the bill since I had been gullible enough to sign the contract but suggested that they wave the other half due to their unorganized and unethic beusiness practices.
I continued to work out at the gym. Funny enough the new Professional Fitness reps that were working there harrassed me to join there training program. I could not even work out on my own without being approached by them. I finally had to cancel my gym membership.
I recently received a collection notice from them for $578.12. When I called them to negotiate this or at least have it explained to me what the new charges were for I was dismissed. The manager Jesse was unreachable. I left several messages and have still not received a return call. Then I found the name of a regional manager on one of the many on line forum hosting complaints against Professional Fitness. I actually reach him and explained my situation and offered to pay the original amount of my bill immediately if he would take off the additional charges and explain what they were for. He appologized and promised to call me bcak in five minutes. Two hours later I called him back and all I got was an answering machine. I am STILL waiting for him to call me back.
It is one thing for a debtor to ignore a creditor but now the creditor is ignoring the debtor.
I am not a vindictive person but after reading all the other complaints against them on line and hearing the rumors in the community, I had decided to stand up to them and make a formal complaint (I just filed a compliant with BBB).
If one does not have enough money to hire an attorney then one will have to choice but to bend over and pay the fee. d**n my a*s hurts! This is what the large corporations are doing to our country and nobody seems to be doing anything about it because we all feel helpless! We are going to become a third world country very soon if people don't stand up to this.
I am tired of large evil corporations taking advantage of innocent people and even more tired of nothing being done about it!!! This is the spirit that has ruined our country.
