Progress rail service Harlan Strong , Jason McNabb wrongful termination Taylor mill, Kentucky

I worked at progress rail for about 6 1/2 years. I was terminated for violation of the zero tollerence policy.I got into an argument with another employee and we verbaly threatned each other. well about three or four months ago there was an incident between two other employees and one actually struck the other in the head. he got a 3 or 4 day suspension and that was it. He is back to work now. What I did might not be right but I did not touch the employee I got into it with.

 I don't think it was fair to terminate me and the other guy. the employee that hit the guy is buddys with the plant manager and production manager and I am not. Also I am hispanic and he is american. the treatment to employees there is not equal. There are so many instances where they are not fair even with supervisors. I worked on one line and we were running 130 percent efficiency and my supervisor was told to pick it up because we had to compensate for two other lines that were not doing so well.

then at another point we were not doing so good and another line was doing very well and my supervisor was told that they can not carry us. Why wasn't the other supervisor told that when he was not doing well. I could go on and on. there was another time that an employee had a blue signal violation and he was on his final warning. the plant manager and HR person wanted the supervisor to write him up which would have led to termination.

the plant manager did not know of that and still wanted the supervisor to write him up. well when he found out that the employee would be fired he all of the sudden changed his mind because the employee had been there for over 20 years. I would just like to say that if you are thinking about going to work there you might want to change your mind. Here are just a few examples. believe me there are more.
