RIP OFF Progressive Insurance adjustor from Montgomery, Alabama came to give an estimate on my car which was just purchased 2 weeks ago which is a 99 Acura and it was in Pristine condition and had been very well cared for by a General in the Army and has low miles for the year. One of Progressive Insurance client's crashed into the rear of the Acura causing injury to my daughter and damaged the car. Progressive sent their RIP OFF ADJUSOR out of Montgomery to give an estimate on repairs to be made to the Acura to have it repaired and I am expecting to have my Acura back to the condition that it was in before their client crashed into it.

Well, the Progressive Rip Off adjustor from Montgomery gave prices that were ridiculously low to have repairs made to my Acura and estimated to have the crashed up bumper knocked out and re-painted!! Well the bumper obviously needs to be replaced due to it received damage also underneath and it had a new bumper with no damage when I purchased the Acura 2 weeks ago and I expect it to have a new bumper put back on it not scraped, knocked out and patched up to last for a couple of years then start showing cracks that were obviously done to it in this wreck!!

RIP OFF PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE OUT OF MONTGOMERY is deliberately decreasing the value of my car!!! He went as far as stating that a 99 is an old car with high miles so the value cannot be decreased on it. This is a lie!!! And I believe is also now illegal for Insurance Companies to get away with. He was dealing with my daughter and not me and I am also the owner of the car!! Also the RIP OFF PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE ADJUSTOR OUT OF MONTGOMERY called and said that he was recording my daughter over the phone just after she got home from ER shortly after the accident and wanted to meet with her Friday after Thanksgiving and for her to, hurry up and send in the Hospital Bills and HURRY UP, HURRY UP and when I told her NO WAY that he is going to patch up the bumper and stick it back on patched up that the bumper needs to be replaced with a new bumper she said that he said too late the check is already in the mail!! (Yeah, for his rip-off estimate deal).

I called and left a message that I have just returned to town and found out how they are progressing with trying to intimidate my daughter into settling for less than what we had before which is not what should be done to have the car fixed appropriately to make it as it was before their consumer crashed into it!! AND DO NOT SEND THEIR CHECK IN THE MAIL BECAUSE I AM NOT SETTELING FOR A PATCHED UP BUMPER THAT WILL PEEL AND SHOW CRACKS LATER!!! I expect my car to be repaired properly and I do not like being ripped off by these scalawags out of Montgomery from Progressive Insurance.

RIP OFF PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE ADJUSTOR OUT OF MONTGOMERY do not care about what damage their client's do to other's cars and they do not intend to have the repairs done correctly or give enough time or money on their estimates from their adjustor to have the repairs made properly and they sneak around trying to call the Hospital and send checks in the mail that are inappropriate for what damage was caused and also they are getting away with decreasing the value of the automobiles that their client's have damaged by not making proper repairs for the damage that their client's have caused. SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THIS INJUSTICE THAT THE RIP OFF PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE OUT OF MONTGOMERY ARE DOING TO OTHERS!!!

you 2 need 2 get out in the real world. progressive adjusters just fix what they see trouble is they dont want 2 see 2 much they dont care about customers cars and repairs they just want you 2 drive off in unsafe shabby ill repaired wrecked and they move on 2 next victim. carmel john u know how stupid you 2 sound day after day bad mouthin victims of criminal progressive insurance if some one else stold that much money they would be in jail those thieves steal hundreds of thousands of dollars every day from hard working customers. i cant be sued 4 telling the truth

They treated me the same way,  I pray to god each day.  That nobody hits me who has progressive insurance.

The only people who have progressive insurance,  are the ones who are reckless drivers.  Progressive Is the only one who will insure people,  because no other insurance company will take them.

Progressive insures bad drivers,  reckless drivers.  That Is why these bad drivers get away with hitting you.  Well progressive employees are just as (SCUM),  like the people who they insure.

Because If a driver hits you & they,  have progressive insurance.  Your life will be a living hell. 

And you will be In financial (HARDSHIP) because of their insured driver.

The only way to make progressive settle,  Is take them to court.  And pray that nobody hits you who have progressive insurance.

There t.v. commercials are (FRAUD),  don't fall for their lies saying they will take care of you or help you resolve accident claims.

Because they will fight to the end!.

If you were so very unhappy from day 1 with the claim, then why didn't you file with your own insurance company and the let them subrogate Progressive for the damages? Is it because you only have liability coverage on your car? I would bet that is the reason, or we wouldn't even see this complaint on here.

As far as the repairs go, if the bumper can be repaired, it will be. If it needs to be replaced, it will be replaced. If you had collision coverage on your vehicle, YOUR insurance company would have done the exact same thing. Also understand this, if it does need to be replaced, then it is likely that an aftermarket or used bumper would be used if they available. It's a fairly simple process that most people seem to make extremely complicated for no reason. If you have questions about the process or what can be done, then just ask the adjuster(s) or their manager. They will give you a truthful answer. If you don't believe what you are being told by one insurance company, then call your own and see what they say (don't call your agent becaused it's likely that they don't know jack s**t about claims, so call your company's claim department). You'll find that 99.9% of all insurance companies work the same.

As for the injury to your daughter, it sounds like mainly soft tissue injuries which a younger person is much more likely to recover quickly from. Like one of the other rebuttals on here said to keep in mind the word "reasonable." No insurance company is going to pay for or reimburse you for "deep tissue massages" 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Who wouldn't want to get a massage 3 days a week?

Insurance companies write what they can see. That is it, nothing more, nothing less. No one is trying to rip you off in anyway. If there is hidden damage or the prices goes up for parts, Progressive and any other insurance company will pay the shop directly the difference. If your vehicle is a '99 then it is no way brand new. If repairing it can put it into pre loss condition for fit and functionality, along with looks, then that is "industry standards". Take it up with the industry, not with Progressive or any other insurance company.

Take your vehicle wherever you want and let the body shop deal with the insurance portion, that is what they are paid to do. If you have a problem with the work, then that is between you and the body shop as the shop won't do work to your car that is not right and the insurance company won't ask for that to be done either. If you want worry free work done, take it to a network shop that Progressive has in your area. Just remember, everyone is out to look for themselves. The insurance company will write an estimate as low as possible but still what should be enough to get the work done correctly, while the body shop will write one as high as possible to make the most money as possible. There is an agreement in between there somewhere that the shop/insurance company handles.

As for the injury portion, again, no one is trying to rip you off. If a driver they represent injured your daughter, then they will pay for her bills along with "resonable" inconvience money. The key word is reasonable. This isn't TV, this is realtiy. A trip to a medcheck clinic and missing one day of school isn't going to net you 100k.

I get so annoyed when people dont understand the insurance process and get upset and complain.

First off they obviously believe the bumper is repairable. All you have to do is take your vehicle to the shop and if the shop does think it needs to be replaced they will call Progressive and request a supplement. Most likely if the bumper cannot be repaired, Progressive will write for a new one. If the bumper can be repaired it's really no big deal. Body shops these days do excellent work.

If your worried about the paint peeling later than take it to one of their network shops where a warranty is provided for the lifetime of your vehicle.

People like you that dont know anything spout off complaining when there is a solution. educate yourself first before posting this garbage

PS - I highly doubt a 10 year old car with high milage that needs a bumper repair has lost value. educate yourself on DOV first. I am sure you did a lot of research before posting this.......haha
