Progressive Tax or P.TAX GROUP Jennifer Shapiro, Stacy Brandon, Betty Perez, Joe Sabastian, Mr.Kahn, Joe Garcia 10k in thier pockets, almost 3 years later "RESULTS PROMISED ARE STILL UNRESOLVED " CALABASAS, California

We are average people , we dont make a lot of money not in todays world. Once you are behind its almost impossible to catch up .

We had / (have) terrible tax issues we needed to straighten out , we had let it get out of hand for way too long.  2009 we hired Progressive tax , they assurred us they had seen worse and that there process would give us the results we needed to resolve our tax problem.  We have supplied them with so much informatiom the first year the only other thing we could give them was blood. We had a serious situation and we knew it  (Progressive Tax or progressive Tax group whatever name they are going by now?)

in the beginning they were very helpful , especially when they were getting money- they "tag team you" $1500 here and another & on and on and on..... we also need another 1500 so we can fight your case continually ... basically they made a couple phone calls to Irs and filed a few years of taxes for this cost ( $11,400 paid in full from us ).  We did sign over power of attorney to them ( one time they said it wasnt done right) HELLO , isnt this what you do???

  One time my husband asked them not to pull 1500 payment out of his checking account till he could deposite and make sure he had enough in there to cover bills he had already written checks for and they didnt  listen they pulled it out immediatly anyways.

The one thing they did help us with was filing and re-filing for years past..which was a great help to us, although they had to do them twice because the first set-package they did was lost somewhere in the mail ? Never did really understand what happened there , but a Nice kid Joshua Rodrigues communicated with us when I told him we didnt revieve the filings he had said he had sent so he prepared a 2nd set ( Yes we did recieve that set)  Ironically almost a month later the first originally set just showed mangled looking in a fed x envelope ( which he had told us to destroy since he prepared another set. 

 Yes they prepaired the the tax papers but everything after that you have to do ( walk in to the IRS etc. ) In the mean time they do confuse you by having you talk to many different staff, just when you think you have someone helping you , you really dont. There is a problem with communication, a problem with the returning calls , they ask you questions that you have already provided them information on, for the most part you dont hear from them for months and than when you do call for a follow up , or information on where they are at on your case they tell you the person on your case no longer works there and they forward you to another.

from the beginning they NEVER helped me with any of my garnishments , they would never summerise or give us any documentation as to where they were at on our case. Even after hiring them I had continual garnishments one after another . When we did pay the IRS seperate payments we owed 3k here , 3k there etc....and apply it to where the progressive agent would tell us to (say for example 3k towards 2009 thru online IRS payment site Official Payments) than a couple months later we would recieve notice from Irs that the payments had been applied elsewhere! They dont want to help you they want to keep you in a position to where you keep getting penalised.

The whole process makes you feel like Progressive is in cahoots with the IRS.

The progressive agent Betty Perez i felt was the one I "thought" was helping me the most but than one day she said she would get back to me and didnt and when 2 months passed I called progressive again and they told me she no longer worked there.   WHY didnt they call me as a customer follow up and say the person who was handling your case has been fired or left the company and this will be the person you can contact on your case as of today?? IF I hadnt called they would have never called me, I am sure of it.  

The last person I delt with was Stacy Brandon ...basically I just got the run around and she told me keep trying to pay off more of the balances ( and this is while I was still garnished!)  a year ago we dicussed with Ms Perez a comfortable payment we could live with , That never happened. Havent heard anything in months....and today BING a phone call out of the blue from Joe Garcia and he says the Irs says you owe 65k , im working on your case now.....we said WHAT? last time we talked to Betty Perez she said they said approximatly 30 something........

BUT yet they never show you any PROOF documentation of the TRUTH??? We are like what about all the payments we have made, what about the 30k of garnishments the past 10 years?  I wanna see a summary of every dollar we have paid to the Irs the past 10 years but I cant seem to get that from progressive?  He says I can make a deal on the 65k and get it down real low , what are you willing to pay in a lump sum ( like Im -we're just suppose to pull that out of a magic hat!" 

I am disapointed , what they truly say and make you believe they can do for you they cant or dont do ( because you are so desperate and in need of the help , they take advantage of you)  they too bleed you of every last dollar they dont care,  they treat you with no regard as a paying customer, they do not represent you in the manner they promise you they can do.

mind you no resolution payment has been arranged as of today ......... we cant get caught up. The whole point of hiring them was to find some way of resolution to be able to deal with something reasonalble not to get out of paying something we owe.   I could go on and on.......the end result is the same ...it shouldnt take 3 years plus for some kind of end result.   Now that I found this site Ripoff report and have read all the comments - complaints its scares me even more because I feel we are part of there scam!!

Honestly I could probably add more to this but it has gone on for so long that I am lost in it all...... I wonder if they ever have really help anyone?

How can they get away with not providing the results & product they advertise? Are they really tax lawyers? They want you to give them your life story and we gladly did so and its embarrassing  but expect them to give you the results they promised because thats what they do ..........you can be sure you will get the run around and you'll be wondering why you gave ths company 11K when you could have just given it to the IRS. The whole thing makes me feel ill !   It really is criminal when you go to a business you think you can trust and you get no end result.
