Prudent Law Group Loan Modification rip off. Took money and will not return phone calls or emails. Newport Beach, California

We were contacted by the Prudent Law Group who informed us that we qualified for a HARP loan modification and could have our interest rate lowered to 2%, which would in turn reduce our payment.

The individuals we spoke to initially were very friendly and accommodating. They requested financial information and asked a lot of questions. They returned phone calls and emails. They indicated all of the paper work was completed and our account would be sent to one of their processors for completion of the file.

The next step we found out before our file went to the processing department was a request of $3,995 for Prudent Law Firm's fees. That's when the red light should have gone off and I should have never sent the money. Once the money was received the service deteriorated significantly.

The so called processor will not return our phone calls or answer our emails. This has been going on for months. It's evident this is a scam and a rip-off andIi would not be surprised if we receive an email indicating the bank turned down our loan modification request.

I would very much like to have our money returned but I'm sure that it out of the question. These people should be taken to court and shut down!!
