I have had a drinking problem since I was in the military in the 1980's it came to a head in the early 90's and after I got a DUI I looked for help! I went to Psychology and Counseling fot years they gave me some medication, and I talked to a Doctor there who was really helpful and I sobered up. I paid them thousands of dollars for there services but it was worth it I was sober!
Last year everything fell apart I lost my job after 18 years, found out my wife was cheating on me and I could tell a drink was very close,
The day I found out about my wife I called to set up an appointment (you always get a voice mail and they call you back) then while driving on I95 at 70mph they called me and said that they had an appointment later that evening and that I could have it! but that I would have to come in first, and pay $30 from I missed appointment years prior I said that I would bring it with me and that I felt like drinking and really wanted to see someone, she said "no" either pay first or no appointment since their office staff would not be their, and doctors could not take the money, I had no credit card on me, and no way to leave work too go pay her first, and they did not care they just want their money, within a short period of time I was drinking again thanks guys!!!!

If anyone else feels the same about Psycholgy and counceling.. I found another Doctor named DR Shamsey, He charged half of what they do! and gave me a drug to help me sleep, and when I told him I was not insured he gave me samples! He met me on a Sunday, and called me at home in the evening to see how I was doing! This man is a real doctor d with a heart, after about 3 months things had calmed down I went off the medication and have not had a drink since july 4th of last year...
he even said we could work out payment plans... Not like Mark and Jane Greenberg who care about nothing but money..
To the guy who wrote that I can't blame them your right! But at the same time Psycology and Counselin was my doctor I spent years going there I handed then over $4000 between myself, and my insurance, they had all my records and that is where I felt I should go, and they owed it to me too see me even if they had to stay late, when your charge $140 an hour sometimes you have to do a little extra! thats why you get the big bucks! And as far as going to the hospital I don't think sitting in an ER for 8 hours and being charged $2000 to see an ER Doctor would have done much except put me further in dept and add more stress! so go eat another donut Einstein!!!!

Its not their fault you started drinking again. You took the drink, they did not force it on you. If you were on I95, I know of 7 hospitals you could have went to for help, no prepay required.
I only hope you get yourself together, and stop blaming others.
