Public Storage of Foster City gave us a call one day after the units has been flooded in their building. This gave it enough time for our boxes and Persian carpets to absorb the water that leaked into our storage space. Although the amount of water that came in was minimal, the real issue is that they make no attempts to help you clean it up. What is worst is that heavy rains are coming at this time and there is no evident work being done to repair this issue.
Management does not seem to care and has now avoided answering or returning call by their customers.
I would very much like to advise users and would be users to determine the contract of these public storage places prior to move in. Although your home insurance covers some of these losses, I highly doubt that the storage insurance coverage is sufficient or will require a tremendous amount of paperwork and receipts.
BE CAUTIOUS AND READ YOUR contract before signing.
