We have had a truck camper stored at public storage in Lisle, Illinois for over a year now and were never late with our monthly payment. We picked up the camper over the summer to use it for camping and noticed bullet holes in the front of the camper and a big smash on one side. We left two horses in our parking spot when we left with the camper and they were gone when we came back to park the camper again. We called the office, and they said they would review security tapes and for me to contact the district manager. I left several messages for the district manager and they NEVER called me back. Last week we got a call from the Lisle store stating that they are no longer renting out parking spaces due to corporate decision. And we had 30 days to vacate our spot and that corporate would be sending us an official letter in the mail and that the 30 days would start from the day of the phone call. That was on a Friday. On the following Monday morning someone from corporate called me and said they wanted us to remove our camper immediately or they would serve us with a vacate notice and would negatively affect our credit. Luckily we found another place to store our camper, but the hassle, threats of reporting us to a credit agency and bad business practices of this facility left us with nothing but negativity for this company. I will never store anything with them again. Luckily our other storage facility is with a different company.
