Hi my name is Raymond Taylor I'm also a victim of Publishamerica about two years ago Feb 9 2009  Publishamerica published my manuscript called The UnKnown but after only one week they told me in  order for them to continue to process my book I need to change they title.  I changed the title to The Rise of the Humanoid but my next problem is they didn't change the title on my Contract.  My contract still has the old title The UnKnown.   I feel cheated and beat down because they acted different after I signed the contract if there is a class action lawsuit started can you please add me to your list?  My telephone number is 815-349-9090 and 815-668-3952 my email address is raymondman64@yahoo.com I hope to hear from somebody?  Thanks Raymond Taylor

I have been with them for about a year now and it was only until recently that my book was even availiable to Amazon.com. I can't sell my book, not because it's not a good book but because it's priced too high. The only people they intend to make money off of is the authors instead of the general public. You will find they must have some of their lackeys posting here because some people have really crappy rebuttals. If you go to Author's Den and the Water Cooler, you will find so many people affected by Publish America. All their overseas events that they have tried to pitch to me to buy books that even with a discount I can't afford-are lies. Paris,Germany, and London do not have nor have they ever had Publish America listed as Vendors. Here in the USA, AARP in Florida never had them as a sponser or as an exhibitor. Dolly Parton's HQ never had heard of them and quickly refutted their ad about Dolly playing a character let alone endorsing a book. Stefanie Meyers,James Patterson, and John Grisham as well as Stephen King(that was the October Mailer from PA) couldn't endorse a PA book even if they wanted to because they are contracted through their publishing houses and literary agents. Lots of even notable authors, in their beginnings have been duped by author mills such as Publish America. Lucinda Betts, who writes for Kennsington Aphrodesia's erotica line, was a victim for a few years of author mill scams. I attended a book signing with Sherrilyn Kenyon and told her a bit about my publishing experience, and she said it happens-it happens even to the most successful authors that are just starting out. SO the fault is not ours-we signed our contracts believing that they were reputable publishers-not Vanity press and that they had to abide by the same practices and ethics that all other publishing houses have to abide by. We didn't know this would ever happen so the fault is not ours but theirs and the state of Maryland needs to do something about it!
