Remember me? No! Well get out your little back book of people that you have screwed over recently. My name is Alan H. Nelson Sr. and I'm the guy who make the mistake of having his novel (The Horseback Road Murder) published by Publish...No! I can not use the word America in your companies title. Lets just call you Publish Deception. Remember back in July of 2006 when you sent me a royalty statement and paycheck for $58.91 representing the sale of 41 novels in of all places the United Kingdom. No domestic sales reported here! I was a nice guy I let this first fraudulent act of Publish Deception pass thinking that maybe all of the supposely advertisement hadn't taken effect? But isn't it a bit odd that a novel written for regional sales, old shat I'm sorry Miranda, let me explain this further so that your group of slaves willn't make the same mistake twice. Regional sales meaning the New England area and especially Maine where I live. Nope no regional sales, nothing from Amazon or Barnes&Noble or the other 100 internet outlets. Hey Miranda what about my local independent bookstore called Mr. Paperback? Nothing here huh. O.K. lets move on to the most recent royalty statement, that being the one covering the time period of August 2006, to January 2007. The envelope Miranda! Thank you; And it says here another 30 novels sold, once again in the United Kingdom, profit $41.92. No domestic sales noted. Nothing sold through Amazon.com, nothing sold through Barnes&Noble or the other national or international outlets. No just the good old United Kingdom. Thank God for my relatives living over-there.
But Miranda, step out of your Mercedes for a minute because I have a couple of questions that need answering. Now Miranda no lies please or other donations of shat just the truth for a change. You know like your talking to god and trying to get past those pearly white gates. What happened to my royalties on the estimated 70 to 90 novels sold at my local Mr. Paperback Store in Skowhegan, Maine? Where are my royalties from the sale of my novels in Mr. Paperback's 11 other stores here in the State of Maine? Does anyone in your bookstore remember the other sales made by Publish Deception to my local libraries located in Madison and the State Library in Augusta. What about those novels sold to family and friends in Maine, New Hampshire, Alabama, Florida, Texas and California. Remember the list with 100 names of family and friends needed for advertisement purposes? Those folks were on that list. Tell me Dear Miranda how many other people on that list purchased my novel? Cat got your tongue? What about sales in the Augusta, Maine's Barnes&Noble. Can remember selling to B&N. Well Miranda many of my friends ordered my novel thru B&N as well as Amazon.
Apparently your not familiar with my own advertising efforts. Heck no! To godamned many people to screw out there! Well Missy Miranda I ran paid advertising on Yahoo. As well as free advertising on Postaroo and My Space. Oh! and before I forget about it I want to mention my 161 slots on MSN'S classfield section. Those advertisements recently made it all the way to 17,000 hits. Lets be conservative, 1% of those 17,000 hits would only equal 170 books sold and yes Miranda I realize that hits don't mean sales thats why I went with the 1% figure. Now Miranda lets not let that blood pressure get in the way of my next question to you? Miranda how many of my novels were actually sold by Publish Deception? 200, 500, 800? I think that a very conservative estimate would by about 1200. O.K. I'll compromise and go with 1000 copies sold. But my next question to you, Olde Chief of Publish Deception is when the hell are you going to get enough honesty in your veins to stop screwing me and about 15,000 other authors over? It's past time for honesty Miranda and while your at it why not hire some honest people to run your affairs? You could have done so much good will your company now known on the internet as Publish Deception. How long do you think it will take for the search programs to post this report? Quicker then you can turn the key in that big Mercedes.
This all that I have to say in this forum Miranda Dear. But there's others out there and I bet that many of those others will be contacting me for information as well as a host of disillusioned, former or present Publish Deception authors. You folks can contact me (See Below)I want to hear from you.
Is this not a shame Miranda? All this nonsense because you and your cohorts at Publish Deception wanted to cheat an old man out of his hard earned royalties. Oh! What a Tangle Web We Weave When We Practice To Deceive! And Miranda tell your proof reader that I left several spelling and grammar mistakes in this report for him or her to find. But those mistakes were never that important when those so-called editors failed to find them in the text of all to many Publish Deception books.
