I received a letter in the mail with what appeared to be a check. I called the number listed and was told it was legal and to pay for the frees involved in winning a sweepstakes and that brinks would bring the remainder of the money to me after I deposited this check. The bank told me the check was a fraud. I tyhen tried to figure out what to do to keep people from being taken advantage of.
