I'm going to try and keep my post short but have to vent at how bad Pulte is.
Pulte Homes entered the Long Island market and quickly left. Sold their "plans" to Timber Ridge. (Another quality builde
I had the opportunity to purchase a Pulte home in a development and thought, great, you keep hearing the CEO preaching about how they "do things correctly the first time" and "quality over profit is what counts."
Not so! I have found so many issues in my home its not even funny. Dont get me wrong, every house has issues, but this hous is only a few years old. Some minor, many not. Poor soldering on pipes, floors squeking badly, poor installation of cabinets, horrible sheetrocking/plastering, water leaks, etc. Talking to the neighbors I find that every house in the development has had some sort of issues.
Most recently, I find that all homes, yes every home has a water intrusion issue along the front facade and Timber Ridge is honoring the warranty to repair the water issue. (They are taking it up with Pulte)
I file my claim like other neighbors and they deny it saying I'm not the orginal owner. WTF, neither is half the development. Did I not squek loud enough?
So I send a letter to Pulte. No response. I send another letter to Pulte, now addressed to the CEO. Comes back with a response that they understand my frustatrations but are standing by the local Pulte Management. The end. WTF? Why was I denied. Still no answer.
So moral of my story is that Pulte is no better than any other builder that wants to throw up the huse as quick as possible and move on.
Everything Pulte CEO Richard J. Dugas Jr says about his company and their reputation is B.S.
They are an average builder at best with horrible customer service
