Quick Trip Movers charged me for excess weight even though they did not weigh my furniture or show any proof whatsoever. (I thought they had to do this by law). They also added a whopping fuel surcharge at the last minute. This really added up and there was nothing I could do or else they would leave with my furniture.

Here are the official facts I found on Quick Trip Movers:

BBB Membership: This company is ***NOT*** a BBB member
[The QuickTrip web site claims they are a "Member of Better Business Bureau" under Contact Us.]

Customer Experience: This company has an ***UNSATISFACTORY*** record with the Bureau due to unresolved complaints.

FMCSA: Official site shows they only have 1 registered driver and 1 truck

Georgia PSC: Problems with Rates and Charges & Service

Doesn't matter where they're from

AUTHOR: Darryl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 18, 2006

Where these punks are from isn't the issue, how they do business is. You only thing that you need to know about these guys is that they come up short when it comes to scrupples. More people need to stand up to them, it's the old saying "evil exist when good people do nothing".
I would say that completely disregarding people's belongings, overcharging, denying any responsibility etc. would constitute evil.

Americans do it, too.

Debra,

Home-grown Americans scam Americans more often. Your comment is incredibly ignorant, and is why many countries see us as elitist pigs.

What Country Are They From

AUTHOR: Debra - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 15, 2006

I bet they are not originally from the US. It never ceases to amaze me that many foreigners come here to this country, get a business going and run it like they would in their country! I don't believe this is a racist comment. I am talking from my own experiences in dealing with these types.

Sharon is correct and here's what I know

AUTHOR: Darryl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 14, 2006

Sharon is on the money and what I've learned from talking to my attorney and several other lawyers is that you can not have a customer put a deposit on their credit card and then have them sign a waiver that they are not allowed to do a chargeback.

In other words, you can't stand behind that piece of paper as you damage and destroy their property. Yes, I'm fired up and encouraging everyone to go after these guys and a class action suit is not out of the question.

There certainly needs to be some overhauling of the guidelines with moving companies. As I have discovered the popular scam of SOME moving companies who also are in league with or own storage spaces and they pull their scam of charging more and theatening to store your stuff at a ripoff charge per day or sell it, which adds to the already enormous stress that comes from moving. Moving is stressful under the best of conditions, so with these guys and others like them, you can imagine why I'm pursuing legal action.

Completely ignoring the facts, Yirmihu.

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 11, 2006

I can't beleive you're still at this, Yirmihu. You are so tunnel-visioned that you are completely missing what is happening here. Every word you type is putting you deeper and deeper into a big hole from which you cannot climb out of. You cannot possibly make Quick Trip's name look good after this.

I'm not exactly sure why you're sending me to the BBB again. Are you trying to show me the 18 complaints that one report of Quick Trip Movers has? Or the one under Quick Trip Movers Company, Inc at the same address with the same phone number with no complaints that lists YOU as the principal?

Or are you trying to get me to look at the two reports for American Nation Express Moving, both listing Jeremy Tal as the Principal, and both with Unsatisfactory ratings for unanswered and unresolved complaints?

What exactly are you trying to get me to see?

I'm still not sure which James or Jim you are referring to. The person who originally posted this complaint is named John. Are you thinking of Darryl from the other recent complaint, whom you said was "blackmailing" you? Because you've got him pretty fired up. I'd watch out for his libel lawsuit before John's ever appeared.

Can you tell us readers why you changed the incorporations papers for both companies to get rid of your name? Are you compensating Eyal and Lior well for putting their own necks on the chopping block for government fines?

Oh, and HEY, LOOK! There's also Express Van Lines of 7001 Peachtree Blvd #400-K. Guess who was the CEO until the magic date of October 8, 2006? Yirmihu Tal again! Wow, what are the odds?

reality

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Who's who is VERY important when these scammers have muliple names and "refer" their customers to each other.

Calling the cops does not work. Period. There is nothing they can do, it is a civil matter and must be taken up with the courts afterwards. Been there, heard it. This is why scammers are able to get away with it time and time again, and why about 10% of moving companies have ruined the reputation of the entire industry. The DOT would not stop the truck, nor impound it. 99.9% of the time, they do not even catch during roadside inspections that some companies are operating under revoked licenses, or are Out Of Service.

I agree with your last sentence. John should sue, go to small claims court and try to get that money back. But he will probably have to go to GA to do it.

Steve, you must be a moving company employee that does everything the right way. If so, I applaud you for that. I wish we could somehow change the lackluster laws that allow your competitors to screw over their customers like "Jeremy" and his partners do. I hate having to say these things all the time.

Let's give up on the whos who for awhile and get to the illegal activity

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 11, 2006

The facts are clear. It is ILLEGAL to charge a customer extra charges that were not agreed to when the contract was signed.

John, you did have a contract, right? It is illegal for a moving company to extort extra money from you. You should have held your ground and just got the license# off the truck/trailer doing the delivery and called the cops for theft/ illegal bailment of your household goods if they refused to unload as agreed.

The DOT would have stopped that truck and impounded it.

You can still sue for the overcharge if you had a contract. And you should file complaints with all authorities.

Good luck!

Jeremy is the CEO of Quick Trip Movers

AUTHOR: Darryl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 10, 2006

If I'm understanding this correctly, Jeremy is denying being the CEO of Quick Trip Movers but the card he gave me when he came to my house to appraise the moving cost clearly says "Jeremy Tal CEO Quick Trip Movers". Of course, I could be totally misunderstanding him when he says that he isn't the CEO and he actually means something else. Sort of like when he says the moving cost covers certain things and then it's not as I understood.

Quick Trip Incorporation Filings

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 10, 2006

GA Incorporation Database filings for Quick Trip Movers:
http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Filings.asp?274181

On October 8, 2006 (AFTER I posted on Oct 5 that Yirmihu Tal was the owner of Quick Trip), the CEO was changed to Lior Ratson. Prior to that date, the records show the following names and stations in the company:

QUICK TRIP MOVERS COMPANY 6180 ATLANTIC BLVD SUITE B

CEO: YIRMIHU TAL PO BOX 129

CFO: EYAL LEVY 6180 ATLANTIC BLVD

SEC: LIOR RATSON 6180 ATLANTIC BLVD

AGT: BUSINESS FILINGS INCORPORATED

Those three names were ADDED on August 4, 2006. Before that, it was all in the name of Eyal Levy.

The same names, addresses, and dates have the same results for American Nation Express Moving. On October 8, 2006 Lior (Leo here) assigned the entire company to himself.

On August 5, 2003, Yirmihu "Jeremy" Tal incorporated American Nation Express Moving & Storage.
http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Filings.asp?219210

Really, if you're going to challenge someone to "do their homework", make sure you weren't an idiot leaving a paper trail in public state incorporation records that anyone can look at. I'm not sure if the moderators of RipOff Report are going to leave the links up, but I hope they do so everyone can read what a liar you are.

Who's Jim?

OK, you are not the owner, you are the Principal of American Nation Express Moving, according to the information your company gave the BBB. Is that better? You also have a sucky record at the BBB. Try answering some of your complaints.

And the state of Georgia lists you as the CEO of Quick Trip. Take it up with them.
