RAC Acceptance Signature Furniture Required me to pay for Benefits Plus Membership Jacksonville, Florida

I went to Signature Furniture in Jacksonville, FL to purchase a sofa with my two roommates. I found one that i liked and they offered the RAC Acceptance Program as an easy way to pay for it.  They said it would "improve my credit each month by adding 12 points to my credit score every time I made a payment on the 15th of each month." This was told to me by Larry Peavey and two other employees.  It was witnessed by me, my mother, my roommate, my friend, and another employee that no longer works there named Ralph.

I was told that in order to get the RAC financing that I was required to pay for the first month of Benefits Plus which was an additional $12.99.  I expressed to Larry that I was not interested in this Membership and asked if it were required. He said "Yes it is required. but after your first month, you can have it removed." So I paid the $149.53 (my monthly payment) plus the Membership Fee of $12.99.  Later that night I called Ralph and Larry at Signature Furniture and told them I just logged online and saw that the Membership was still on my account and I wanted it removed, that I did not want this Membership. They said "Sure no problem. Give us a moment and we shall remove it from your account."

Three weeks later I received a bill for this membership plus my monthly rental amount.  Total due on the bill was $163.43 with another section that read Payment Due: $152.73. I called and complained because I know my monthly amount was only supposed to be $149.53 because it was not only in my contract but I also wrote it down on the envelope with all of my papers/contracts in it along with the due date of June 15th.  Yet they were requesting $163.43. I feel like this was bait and switch, and they were also padding the bill. I also feel that they are dishonest and unprofessional for REQUIRING someone to join a membership after repeatedly telling them that I was not interested and they added it to my bill anyway.
