Complaint Review: RAC HOME INSURANCE
RAC HOME INSURANCENationwide United States of America
RAC HOME INSURANCE GALLAGHER HEATH INSURANCE Insurance with RAC? nope it was a broker, cancelled home insurance now have a cancellation fee!!! all correspondence including envelope was RAC, but in fact was not. It was Gallagher Heath west yorkshire, Nationwide
All correspondence in the last ten years has been from RAC, envelopes included. But it wasnt RAC it was Gallagher Heath. My father made a point of not dealing with Brokers for the reason mentioned,,,,,cancellation fees!
We find this to be sharp practices and a very deceptive way of gaining furthur funds. If my father had actually been with RAC there would not have been any cancellation charges as he was dealing direct with RAC. But because a broker (unbeknown to my father) actually set up the policy, he is being charged the cancellation fee.
The other point to make is when you actually ring "RAC" urrr no "gallagher" they answer the call saying welcome to RAC!! So who are we actually dealing with?
The advisor said that this is all actually in the "small print" ......the mind boggles with small print! Now bearing in mind that all letters, calls, envelopes etc., say RAC you wouldnt think anything other than you are dealing with the RAC. Beaware, this is not the case!
