RAC, Rent A Center Illegal Contract Practices/Harassment/Shady sales pricing Lebanon, Pennsylvania

In November 2009, Rent a Center held a Black Friday Sale in which my then boyfriend attended(I did not). He went in for a special they were having on a TV and XBOX deal that he wanted. He SIGNED the paperwork and agreed to pay the original amount of 1039 for the TV and 389 for the XBOX. During the same time in their system I had a contract with them for a bedroom set which I was paying on time on.(Since has been paid) They having my name and info placed me as the leasee on the paperwork even though I didn't sign for the items because they weren't being purchased nor signed by me. I had my seperate account for which I was responsible for and took care of.

I was not aware my name was added to this contract until my ex was late on a payment 3 weeks ago and they started calling me tremendously. I explained that the items were not my responsibilty when they explained I was because I was listed as the leasee even though I never signed anything for this sales transaction. They stated that since we BOTH came in for the bedroom set and had an open account with them at the time they just added these two items to my name as well. I recall signing for the bedroom set but didnt not agree nor sign for the tv/xbox. They said well my name was on there so I'm responsible. I was upset and not willing to listen anymore after this. After our conversation they started calling MY MOTHER'S PHONE since she was listed as a reference for the transaction for the BEDROOM set not the tv. They have called her and given her the account details and as well as harass her by asking when she would be home and what time they can contact her again and if they can collect payment from HER.

She has called them to ask them to stop calling her yet they STILL DO. Furthermore, as stated earlier the original amount for the tv was 1039..they say my ex has paid 483 to this day and owes a remaining balance of 846..which if you do the math is over 289 from the original amount...the xbox's original amount was 389 and my ex has paid 402.61 and according to them still owes 360.00 on it...THE DAMN THING IS PAID SO WHY THE EXTRA AMOUNT!!  I have asked for a summary of all charges on the account(since they are holding me liable) and they act as if they don't have a clue what I'm asking for and have given me the run around and can't explain the differences in the amounts. In addition, they are coming to my house 2-3 times in a day when they know my ex(who signed for the items) doesn't live there. The employees are rude, disrespectful and bullying to an extreme.

I am a single mother of a two year old and am currently 8 1/2 months pregnant and the stress of this all has been wearing me down. I filed a complaint with the FTC and plan on filing another with my state attorney's general office but feel as though what they are doing is illegal. Can they just add my name to a contract without my signature or  approval? Furthermore, can anything be done to stop their harassment? I'm trying to prepare giving birth soon and now fear going to my own home because from the break of dawn to night they are knocking on my door, yelling for payment on something that isnt mine. Please if there is any kind of help out there I would appreciate it. This has caused me much distress and has affected me physically as well mentally.
