RCI 9998 North Michigan Rd Lied about refunding an exchange fee and lied about their relationship with the Blue Green Property Management Camel, Indiana

I had 4 weeks on deposit with RCI and did an exchange of one of those weeks to Mexico.  I paid $199 in exchange fees and $49 for trip protection.  Due to the fact I was unable to get passports, I called back approximately 1-2 weeks later to cancel the exchange.  They were not going to refund the $199 even though I paid the $49 protection fee, but eventually said that they were going to refund the $199.  However they ended up reversing that without telling me and refunded the $49 protection fee instead.

When I called them back they said there was nothing they could do.  Then I said that I had not had a single positive experience with their company so far and that I wanted to cancel my relationship with RCI.  They played several games such as putting me on hold for extremely long hold times etc.  Denying me access to the web site so that I could log in to my account and finally lied to me and said they were going to transfer me to the department in their company than handles cancelling memberships with RCI.  They even gave me the phone number of the department in case I wanted to call later.  But instead of transferring me to a department in their company they transferred me to Blue Green Property Management the property management company that manages my time shares.  Blue Green is not an RCI department nor an RCI affiliate.  This was a misrepresentation on RCI's part.  Furthermore they have nothing to do with RCI memberships other than the fact that they have an agreement with RCI to participate as a Resort in the RCI space banking system.

RCI has a buggy web site and their password reset feature takes 2 days to send you an e-mail to update your password.  They lie and misrepresent and they charge far more than many other similar companies on the market.

I leave it to you to decide what kind of rip-off this is but in my book they are running a scam, albiet from a legal stand point they probably haven't broken any laws other than lying about refunding money and lying about their relationship with Blue Green Property management.
