RCS National Credit Works Couldn't scam me so they scammed my mom instead Chesapeake, Virginia

Ok this is a long story but here it goes.  I took out a loan with a company called JHS Marketing back in 2010.   Things got bad for me, so I defaulted on the loan.   I received a call from a lady about a week ago saying that she was assigned to my case and that I needed to pay the loan.  So after speaking with her I paid the loan and the money was debited from my checking account on April 2.

On April 2,  I received a call from someone at RCS stating that I was facing legal action if I did not pay the loan.   I ignored his calls because I had recently made the payment.   He told me that if I did not return his call by that afternoon that legal action would take place.   Nothing happened.

On April 3, I received another call from this man saying that if I did not pay by April 3, that legal action would take place.  I ignored this call as well.   I called my mother when I went on break at work and she was upset saying that the same man called her and told her the I would be arrested if I did not make the payment so she sent him $320 via Money Gram.

I was heated, so I called the man, and informed him that I would be receiving documentation that my loan had been paid in full, and that the matter had been taken care of, so he would need to send my mother back her money.  He told me "Well I'll have to speak with my supervisor about that because nothing like this has ever happened."

Now my mom is out of $320, and we're stuck.  Just thinking about this makes my head hurt.
