RDH Home Services Ray Fuchs Contractor over-promises, under-delivers and then disappears San Antonio, Texas

Here we are less than 1.5 years later and we are having to rip out our shower.  Ray did not install a shower pan under the shower seat, built the frame out of wood and did not waterproof it.  As a result the leakage from the shower has soaked the subfloor and everything must come out.  We can only hope that the water hasn't soaked through to the rest of the bathroom or neighboring rooms. 

It's going to cost thousands of dollars to fix the damages that Ray's work created- and all of the extra money we spent on specialty tile will be trashed.  Had he watched even one youtube video on how to build a shower, he could have at least learned how to waterproof a shower... much less properly build a shower seat.

Ray and RDH were a nightmare to deal with. Ray was never on sight except to pick up the checks and when you would have a complaint or concern he would say "we will do it in the punch list" at the end of the project. Guess what...still have multiple things wrong and unfinished crappy work. Then he stopped answering his phone and dissapered as the original post mentions. Then we had someone else come in to finish out some work and found out that he didn't pull permits like we had asked. Just ridiculous to think he can be in business with such poor management skills. I also find it odd that the only 2 positive reports on here were on the same day within 30 minutes of each other. Nice try Ray. But you can't run from all of the bad work you do. It will catch up soon and you will have to change the name of your company...again.

I was getting ready to put my home on the market. I needed to sell as quickly as possible, with the way the economy is, things didn't look promising. My real estate agent suggested we do a few improvements to "make ready" my home for listing. My agent referred me to Ray Fuchs/RDH. He responded to my call immediately and I had an estimate within 24hrs. My wife spoke with a few other people he had done these "make ready's" for, all stated they were happy with the work and highly recommended him. We accepted his bid and he started the work the following week. The project was finished a few days after the projected finish date but we had added some things. All in all the work was amazing and made all the difference in the world, our house sold in 3 weeks. We then used RDH to update our new home and build a deck. Results were amazing! (I have attached photos of the completed deck and part of our new master shower). I enjoyed being able to work with both Ray and his crew, all were knowledgeable and friendly. I would use him again and would highly recommend RDH to anyone!!
                                     

I was referred to RDH by a mutual friend for a deck and some interior home improvements.  Prior to hiring him I called several of the references he provided and heard nothing but positive remarks regarding Mr Fuchs and his work.  I hired him and received exceptional work  at a great price and the project was done in a timely manner.  I have since referred him to several friends, family and co-workers.  They have all had great results and are extremely happy with the finished product. In fact several have referred him on as well. I would highly recommend RDH for any/all of any-ones home improvement needs.
