I recently had my hair cut & dyed at a Regis salon. The first girl that cut my hair did so, so, with a basic layer but left my bangs all jagged. She did not know how to style hair, she also left a bunch of shampoo gunk at the base of my neck. and I left feeling dissatisfied. I returned a week later to have my jagged bangs "fixed" The next girl that cut my hair butchered me. My bangs are now unfixable. they are long in the center of my forehead and they keep getting shorter towards my hairline like a checkmark then there is one long strand that is in the middle of the shorter part of the bang just hanging there. I am so upset that Regis does not have more professional stylists working for them. I will never return to a Regis salon and I will let everyone I know, know that you can expect disaster. I walk in to a well branded name expecting to have at least a good experience and I am left empty handed with horrible hair that is embarrassing. I work in the corporate world. I feel embarrassed to even go to work because of Regis salon hiring less than desirable employees that are worthless and that are fresh out of a beauty school. I plan on having an impact on the sales for the Regis salon in my area, for I have been telling everyone where I got my new horrible haircut.

Regis professional hairstylists......

AUTHOR: Sarah - (U.S.A.)

I am sorry to hear of your bad experience with the Regis salon, but I do have a few questions and comments, first of all did you let the manager know you where dissatisfied the first and second times, and if so where you treated with respect, what was the outcome by the manager, Regis trys to correct all problems that they are made aware of, but if not told how can they correct the problem, there are several things that can be done one would be that you deal with the manager only, the other would be to give you your money back and above all letting the stylist know what they have done wrong, and learn how to avoid this in the future.

You mentioned that you yourself work in the corporate world, if something goes wrong where you work, do you not have a chain of command that is made aware of the problem, so they can do everyting to correct it.

I am a hairstylist of 15 years and I know that when I first started out I made plenty of mistakes, and if I was to run into some of the clients I had worked with when I first started, I would have to tell the I am sorry for the mistakes I made, I know that this does not help when it comes to your hairstyle, but you must understand that, the problem does not lie with Regis , it is with the schools and the state board of cosmentology and what is required to obtain a license, they teach the students enough to pass the state exam, and nothing more, it is up to the stylist once they have passed the exam to find a salon that is willing to teach them all they need to know too become successfull, this normaly takes about 1 to 2 years, Regis spends lots of time and money, training their stylist and I think that to give the whole company a bad rapp is unfair, if you work for who I think you work for, would it be fair of me to give your whole company the same regard you have given Regis, because I had a bad experience in just one of your stores. I think not, I would chalk it up to a bad experience, complaine to upper management and hope that the company trys to correct the problem.

I have had no problems myself in this store I do get my hair done by one of the stylist there who has been with them since they opened. please try to have a open mind and not slam the whole company. I think that you should talk with management and try to resolve this matter.

sincerly a loyal customer.
