In May my wife needed to see a doctor & did off their list on the internet, the entire bill is for $300, they have not paid a dime with every excuse in the world down to the Vice President of the Company refusing to tell us any solid information on the claim.
Our "Agent" tells us "well I can't make them pay" We have made all the contact calls making sure the additional necessary information they say they need is sent to them.
It is now the end of December 2001 7 months after the initial doctors visit and nothing has been paid, we have filed with the insurance commissioner in our state and are told they will investigate.
We can't switch companies and be insured for the now "pre exsisting" condition of high blood pressure which is controlled with meds with any new company.
I don't know where this company came from or why they are allowed to do business in any state. We have made this company a full time job to contact regularily to get some kind of action.
If they would just deny the claim we could go from there but it is listed as "not covered" with no explaination but no official denial with an explaination.
Insurance for health has become a big scam even from reputable well known companies, they collect mega amounts of money from the consumers then deny claims "because they can" and their is little assistance or protection from our government to protect us little people. BEWARE ON HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE AND REPUBLIC AMERICAN HEALTH
