I spoke with Sarah Flannery at RIGID (tools, etc..) customer service to help me warranty a product for the promulgated lifetime warranty. I found out later she lied about her name, she said it was Kathy. She mislead me while completing the registration form. Initially, I tried to register the tools myself but RIGID provided the wrong web address on their pamphlet which came with their product line of tools. In essence, they mislead, mis-inform, and therefore, make it nearly prohibitively difficult to register their product for a lifetime warranty, even though that was a major selling feature plastered on their package in Home Depot, and most likely why I brought it, as well as, many others.

On top of it, their customer service is willing to lie about their names/misrepresent themselves and provide misinformation:  When I was done filling out the registration, it was not the document necessary to obtain the lifetime warranty. Further, one has 90-days to register for the warranty; however, after sending in the registration papers, they ask for 10-12 weeks for a response, long after the 90-days would have elapsed. None of this registration information is available before you buy it, therefore, after you buy it you find out about the daunting and misleading quagmire of the process it is to even possibly get the lifetime warranty, which, of course, you may only have one chance at getting it since 90-days would have expired before they responded to your request!
