First, I have a marble top dining table that is shattered sitting in our Condo in Phoenix. The company responsible for the delivery was R&L. I order a shipment from CA through MI Logistics, another big joke. I was told by R&L to be in Phoenix to receive the shipment on a Monday only to get their and find out it was still in CA. I called them and the staffer on the phone was a snotty little receptionist telling me that it would be delivered when it's delivered. I was shocked. Finally after having to stay in Phoenix, the delivery arrives at 5:00 Tuesday but only 1box of 9. They had a top on the truck that did not match the bill of lading and there office could not figure out what happened so they left with it. It did turn out the top was the correct order, but was one of nine boxes because the rest of it went somewhere else. They did not deliver the items for another several days. [continued below]....

..... After numerous calls and their admission they sent the truck to the wrong address, the shipment was located. The next day, the manager called and wanted more money to deliver the shipment, but I refused. The shipment then arrived but had to be inspected by my mother 80 year ld mother who had no idea what was there. They told her to just sign the paper. The top was crated with the underside showing. No one would have ever uncrated the table top to inspect it anyway. There was no damage visible to the underside. No damage was evident on a visible check and it would have take two men to open the crate and get to the top for an inspection which is pretty unreasonable. The crate had two cross members cracked but it did not look like it would have made a difference. The top was obviously jarred or dropped. It will come out in the wash that this table was transferred from several vehicles because part of the shipment was lost. A few weeks later we uncrated the top to find out it was shattered. R&L was incredibly rude through the entire process and now determine they were not responsible because my mother accepted the item. They are spending more energy denying responsibility that addressing what happened, and now refusing to return calls. I am now forced to turn the matter over to the Attorney Generals office and filing a claim to have the top replaced. Not only are these guys completely disorganized (not a good thing if your a shipping company), rude, and dishonest.
