I informed the caller that he doesn't live with us, he could not be reached at our phone number, and took a message. They didn't identify their business, and on the third call when I asked, the rep refused to tell me; (violation of the afore mentioned Federal Act).
Long story short, they began calling multiple times daily; (violation of FDCA Title VIII, Section 804, subsections 3 -AND- 5; -AND- of Washington State RCW 19.16.250 subsection 12...wow, they really know how to rack 'm up!).
At one time, I got from them that they are "RPM", (Receivable Performance Management). My fiance called them Monday evening and told them to stop calling. They called again Tuesday while we were at work, and Tuesday evening. They called again Wednesday morning. (violation of FDCA Title VIII, Section 804, subsection 3 again).
So, contemplate this, Jean. I don't owe these people a flippin dime, and have been harrassed to the point of crossing the legal boundaries. To wrap up ... I got 'hold of a lawyer who specializes in abusive collection practices to file a harrassment lawsuit. And the irony? I'm not even the guy who owes you money!
