 I signed up for a free trial of the Equinox face serum as well as the RVTL skin cream for which I was supposed to be charged $4.95.  My account was charged the proper amount, but 15 days after I ordered the trial, my account was charged 99.95 for each item.  Fifteen days after the first charge, I was charged another $105.95 and $99.95. 

The same day I received a package in the mail with no idenitifying information about who it was from.  I did not open the package as I suspected that it was another shipment of the cream.  The trial was over, so I did not fight the $99.95 per item charges. 

However, when I got the second set of charges 15 days after the first one, I called the company.  I was told that since I didn't cancel the order within the 14 day trial period, I was responsible for the cost of the initial shipment.  When I told them that I had not received the second shipment and yet I had been charged, they told me that I could get a refund if I could get the US Postal System to verify that I had not received the second shipment.  I went to the post office with the package and was told I could refuse the package and that they would track it for free so I could be sure that the items had been returned.

I refused both packages and had them returned by the post office with a tracking number. When I called to get a refund as I was told once I had verified with the post office that the packages had been received, I was told I could only get a refund of 80% of the charged amount with a 20% restocking fee.  That was bad enough but then I was told that I could not get the same refund on the second charge because they had already credited my account for $49.00 when I called to cancel my subscription since I had not received the package.  I told them I had returned both packages and was entitled to the same refund on each item.  Of course they refused and after 30 minutes of arguing with them and threatening to report them to the federal trade commission for fraud, they told me there was nothing more they could do and they hung up on me. 

I had asked several times to speak to a supervisor and the gentleman told me he was the supervisor.  I told him I wanted to speak with his supervisor and was informed that there was no other supervisor besides him.  I asked for the name and number of the president of the company and was told his name was Todd Black, but they would not give me a number or e-mail address for me to send him my complaint.  I am not sure if this information would be helpful to anyone else, but we need to make sure people know that this company is scamming the people and they should not try their products.
