RWinvest Kept £5000 deposit when propert build was cancelled London

After paying 5000 pounds holding deposit on an apartment in Liverpool UK I was informed by RWinvest the building had commenced. Several months later I requested an update and was sent photographs of the land where the building was to take place. The land had not even been cleared yet and it was clearly going to be a very delayed development. A couple weeks later I received an email from RWinvest advising the developer had cancelled the project. I asked for my 5000 pounds deposit to be returned. A few months later I am still waiting for the deposit to be returned and RWinvest claims the developer holds the deposit. However, I have been talking to the developer and he informs me RWinvest has kept my money. If anyone is thinking of using this company I highly recommend you think twice before giving them any money.
