BEWARE of ORGAIZNED CRIMINALS like RACHEL DIAMOND!

Basically she stole over $6,000 cash from me... this is how:

I visit Las Vegas on a very regular basis, fly in from the east coast and stay for 4-5 days at a time. I go to play the table games, see the shows and I usaully always make some new friends with my out going personalaity. This time was different!!!

I was already in vegas a few days, this night I went down to play the table games just after lunch. About an hour after playing the $50 blackjack table, this couple sat down beside me and started playing on my table. They put about $900 on the table to play as well. They were a little loud but very friendly... within a hour or two we talking and getting along. Her husband was a little annoying beause he was a math geek, or so he said... They seemed very nice and down to earth... I got to know them over a 3-4 hour period, because we kept playing at the same table. They ended up rebuying into the game for about $1,000 if I remember correctly. But I was doing well, and was up about $1,000 already.

One thing led to the next, and they invited me to dinner at the buffet..  We both cashed out and I just put the billsinto my coin purse (approx $2,100). I obliged and joined them (expecting to pay my part using my points card). We had a nice dinner and got along very well, however her husband had to leave early and it was just us girls finishing up dinner. She insisted on paying for dinner, it was not very much.. but she really forcefully paid and I felt a little bad for letting her pay for my dinner. I do not know who suggested it, but we went for drinks right after. Just went to the lounge in the hotel. I do not like to loose control, so I rarely drink very much.. I always stick to just 1 or 2 drinks.

We had a glass of wine and spent some time talking more, and she mentioned there was a show on later tonight and she had a pair of tickets if I wanted to join her. Since her husband left and I didn't have any plans, i thought it would be great. I was really excited, its rare you find these people who pay for dinner and invite you out. I felt like she was well off just like myself (ohh how wrong I was!!!). We checked the ticket times and decided to make our way over to her hotel where the show was. She mentioned that she had to change out of her jeans and into a casual dress and find some heels to go with it... Immediatly I felt under dressed and was thinking I should change too... we got to talking and without thinking ( maybe it was the wine, maybe it was that we had been chatting for 4+ hours), I invited her up to my room to help me pick out some shoes. I felt comfortable with her, and was not expecting what came next!

We went up to my suite, and she sat on the counch and I went into my room to get changed. I brought my purse into my room with me, because I didnt know her well. I tried on a dress or two, comming out to ask her opinion. On the third dress, I needed her help to zip it up, so I called her to my door and she helped me... complimented me and then immedialty started asking about my shoes... so i went to my luggage, and started to pull out a few heels I had... we spend a few mins going over which would match best. she was sitting on the end of my bed, watching me... ( at this point my purse was at the head of my bed) and we were picking out shoes.... After a few shoes, I decided to try on a different dress ( i think this was my mistake).. But I jsut went around the corner in my bathroom and changed qucikly without closing the door.. then came out to get her opinion...  she was sitting on bed , at the side right in the middle...she looked a little surprised and distracted.. her phone was in her hand.. i thgouht she was just preoccupied with texting someone.... i shrugged it off (boy did i miss that indicator!)... she immedailty didnt like the dress and she picked out a new one for me.. the one she picked had some clasps on it ( takes longer to put on)...she insisted we hurry to get ready and hurried me into the bathroom to change, closeing the door to 'give me privacy'... I got my dress off, was into the next one just doing up a clasp..

when I heard the front door slam....I thought that was weird,.. not sure if someone came in... as I opened the door and called out Rachel's name.. silence... I kind of grabbed my dress, pulled itup a bit, and opened the door to look around... as I called out Rachels name again.. my heart absolutly sank into my stomach.. I looked at my bed, and my purse was ransacked.. open and all over the place...  I ran over to it.. and my money purse was GONE!!! my $2,000 I won and another $4,000 in cash I was keeping in there...I was overwhelemed an ran to the door.. looked down the hall and it was empty... at this point i didn't know what to do.. I was crying and at a loss for reaction... I phoned my husband and went over the situation and after explaining everything.. he called the hotel.. then some staff came up to my hotel and started asing me.. i had to repeat the whole story again.... what a horrible situaton to go through....  that night and the next day was the longest and hardest time of my life... it was horrible and awful in every way... dealing with hotel security and going to the police station to file a report...

In the end, nothing came of it.. police said they could not prove theft because I invited her into my room and because they couldnt prove that any of her money was stolen from me. How could i prove the money she had was mine, I couldnt.. she was smart enoguh to just steal the money and leave my cards and personal items. Its like she has done this before and knows! Clearly they were targetting me since the start, going after me because they saw how much money I had.

Lesson Learned! Do not let strangers into your room.. as friendly or helpful or nice as they are... PROTECT YOURSELF. I just wish I had a photo of this woman, so everyone else could avoid this scamming thief!!!!
