I received a Radio Shack Pro-160 scanner ($400.00) for Christmas. The instructions that came with the scanner made little impact on how to program the scanner.
The additional service agreement that was supposed cover tech support was worthless. No one in tech support had a clue as to hoe to program this scanner.
Customer service attempted to find one of Radio Shacks 70,000 employees that had knowledge of how to program this scanner. No one had a clue.
I called five different numbers, spoke with seven people in the course of 5 hours and was unable to speak with anyone that knew what to do.
I tried to contact the president of radio Shack, Mr.Julian Day, but no one would give me any contact information. Given the circumstances, no one may have known how to contact Mr.Day.
I returned the scanner and refused a gift card. There is nothing I would ever buy at Radio Shack.
