Randall Thornberry Monkee Co RIP OFF, SCAM ARTIST, LIES, FALSE PROMISES, STOLE $1600 FROM ME Internet

I was referred to Randall Thornberry, the only person really working at Monkee Co from a friend about 6 months ago. At the time, my friend did not know Randall too well, but Randall talked up a big game about his credentials and who he knows in the tech world, so he trusted to refer him over to me for the development of a mobile application and website. Randall also lived and operated his bogus business  in my friend's apartment building, so we figured it was a safe bet that he wouldn't screw us over. Boy was I wrong!

When I first met with Randall I had him sign a NDA, and our working terms were that he was going to be developing this mobile app / website for me, in hopes to be my partner on it once we get going. He started asking me for $800 up front to get things going on his "cloud" server, and told me how good of a deal I was getting because he knows the people that work for rackspace, google, and facebook etc. I gave him a very detailed hand-drawn outline of the app called a wireframe, and in all the time I worked with him, pretty all he did was give me a typed up outline of it. 

Month after month he would ask me for more money, eventually telling me he could only take cash now because his partner died and he has no idea how to use paypal or handle accounting methods. "WOW, really" I thought. I went on to give Randall a total of $1,600 in the 6 month span, somehow convinced that he was doing me well because we had this close mutual friend. In the whole time I would continuously ask him for login credentials to things he was buying, beta versions of the applications, etc and he would always come up with some cleverly disguised excuse of how his internet was not working, phone was shut off, or some emergency came up.

I finally pulled the plug on this Monkee, and informed my friend of the scam Randall was running. We came to find out that Randall also ripped off my friend, as well as several other people we found online. When we looked further into the accounts that Randall was handling of mine, there was nothing there. 

Randall Thornberry is the Bernie Madoff of the internet world. I pray that anyone who comes across him or Monkee Co run fast and far. I will be seeking collection and legal matters to recover my losses from this scam artist. If you or anyone has been victimized please contact me so we can put this villain behind bars.
