Randy Weinstein of Legends Riding Stable, a public trail riding horse rental facility, is negligant to horses. He owns about 20 + head of horses who stand in straight stalls for 8-10 hours a day in their own urine. Horses stand on uneven broken wood/concrete floors. He had denied the horses of any footcare for more than two months at a time. Lame and injured horses are continued to work regardless of problems.
As I can recall, one horse was growing a golf ball sized tumor in his throat, as I told Randy he ignored any vet attention to the horse. The horse's tumor later became the size of a grape fruit and the horses breathing was strained and irregular as the poor animal had to endure the daily work of riding for hours on end. Some of the horses had a severe case of heaves, that were still forced to work despite heavy coughing and irregular breathing with no vet attention.
The conditions of the horses pasture are appaling as well. 20 + horses are forced to stand in an acre pasture with atleast 2 ft of mud. Horses do not have shelter to run under from protection of the elements. Fences consist of heavily wrapped sharp rusty barbed wire, some of the wire has fallen in the pasture making it a danger zone for horses to easily get legs tangled. The pasture lines up to the old dairy barn which has sharp broken and open windows. One horse was reported to rip his shoulder half open from attempting to climb into the window. The horse was luckily stitched by a vet.
All the horses have a severe case of thrush.
Horses do not recieve attention to their teeth, unless they pysically make their food into slop and lose weight. Some horses have ribs poking through and are in dire need of worming.
Randy has been known to take horses that do not cooperate out of fear and psyically abuse them with his hand, whip, lead rope, etc.
All horses have major rubs, some have damage to their faces from wearing a nylon, non breakaway halter 24-7.
Upon numerous calls made to the ASPCA by other witnesses, Randy has made friends with one of the agents and illegally passes. The ASPCA officer tells the reported phone numbers to Randy.

The original report doesn't see that far off, though from my experience, the entire office smelled of marijuana, and the girl who took my children and I on our trail ride could barely stay on her horse, she looked high on cocaine, the horses we used listened, but were very old and looked like they were going to fall over and die. I'm was not happy with my experience, not saying don't go, just saying if you are like me, you don't wanna hand your money to someone who's using it for drugs.

Disgruntled Employee Filed First Report - Legends Riding Stable

The original complaint lodged about the proprietor of Legends Riding Stable is a vicious attack by a disgruntled ex-employee. She filed the report in an attempt to sabotage the owner of the stable because he fired her for not feeding the horses. Her error brought the termination of her employment there, and that is why she angrily wrote a RipOff Report about the barn. The claims she makes are utterly false.
The stalls in the barn are cleaned every hour of every day. The horses are only in the barn for approximately 7 hours, spending each night in the pasture together. They do not stand on uneven, broken floors; every stall has a thick rubber mat to support the horses' joints. The horses are currently seen by a farrier every three to four weeks. The claims about the horses lacking medical attention are also entirely false; just ask any one of the many vets that we use when a horse gets sick or hurt. The dentist comes every year to check on every horse. They are wormed every few months, alternating wormers for best protection. There are no skinny horses; they're actually all fat! There is also no physical abuse of the horses. The complaints are fabricated to personally attack the owner's business. She has no evidence of any of these outrageous claims. No business open to the public such as we are could run under those horrid circumstances, and Randy has been proudly operating this stable with NO COMPLAINTS for over a decade!
We have nothing to hide! Ignore this ex-employee's attack on the business she was fired from. Come and see for yourself!
