How stupid of me not to check here before believing this company was legitimate. I was looking for money to jump start my business, but I see technology - instead of good old-fashioned leg work and brain power - has made it easy for suckers like me to be ripped of by companies like this.
Now I know this company is a ripoff and this is a scam as pretty much every claim on this company I've read indicates a different S&H charge for the CD. I paid $2.29. I also see different charges for the membership. I was charged $39.95.
They offer a FREE trial, which I am thinking is at least 30 days, yet there is no indication of how long the trial is on the website. They sent a confirmation e-mail which states (Do Not Reply), so I'm thinking this is just a shipping confirmation like some of my other online orders, especially after I saw the charge for the shipping. The e-mail gives no indication of how long it would take before I received the CD, which I still haven't received after 11 days, but the customer service representative I spoke to this morning says there was a note (which I never saw anywhere on the website or e-mail) that it would take 10 to 14 days to receive the CD.
So, let's see: $2.29 for a CD I never received, $39.95 for a membership I have no access to, and now $210 in overdraft charges and possibly a bad reputation with a bank I've been with - with a clean history - going on 2 years now. What did I do to deserve "Raven Media's" fradulence? I'm a good person - single parent I might add - who was simply looking for a way to make a decent living for my children and me.
I "told" the customer service representative to cancel my membership and refund the $39.95 they stole from my account without my authorization. I asked her how long it would take to receive my refund, and her response was, "It depends on how long it takes your bank to process the transaction."
We are just one of many who've taken a stand against this company. There are no telling how many more are out there who've just taken their ordeal with a grain of salt. Someone needs to file a class action against this company because I want my $210 back, an apology from this company to my bank for stealing my money and causing them the inconvenience, and punitive damage for putting me through the stress of having to waste my time making calls, reporting them, and now trying to figure out where our next meal is going to come from now that my account is seriously in the red because of their fraudulence.
