Rawhide Transport based out of Denton, Tx uses poorly maintained equipment and bad business practices. They picked up two horses from here. Their trailer needed some repair and they intended to run with the windows down. I asked that they put the window up, but the latch did not work properly. The back door latch had to be tied in place.
The truck broke down a few hours after pick up. They said they were boarding the horses, but did not give the details. The next day, they said they had another hauler take the horses back (the opposite direction) to their facility in Denton. They said they COULD NOT refund the money and COULD NOT haul the horses. They admitted that they spent the client's hauling money to fix their truck.
I do not know what condition the horses are in at this point. Joe is very difficult to get a hold of. I would STRONGLY recommend NOT using this company.

Rawhide also used my money for repairs, thank goodness my horse was not on his truck, but I had paid him in full. He has only returned my phone calls twice with promises of refunding my money. It's been over a month and still no refund and no return phone calls concerning my refund. I'm in the process of taking him to small claims court since he refuses to even contact or work with me concerning my refund.
Joe, please do provide your attorney information. I'm guessing you don't have one or you would have provided that information to the other requesters. By the way, how can you afford an attorney, but don't have the money to pay me back?

Stallions on your truck got loose several times to attack each other and fight over a mare. One of them DIED! How dare you attempt to continue business.

Joe Goodrich - Rawhide Transport, as repeated by others above, is lying with his above comments on the transport less than a week ago. The facts are: his truck broke down, he lied about taking the trailer full of horses to a stable INSTEAD leaving them overnight on the side of the freeway, he had someone then transport the horses the following day to a dry lot without food or water, and he told the horse owners he was NOT going to deliver the horses AND was keeping their money for the truck repairs. His communication with the horse owners was minimal at best.
There are any more horrible details regarding this trip and Rawhide Transport. Joe Goodrich obviously only cares about himself and not the horse's welfare or the horse owner's. HIGHLY recommend NOT using him to transport any horses, even for a short cross town trip.
I second the above post - PLEASE post Joe Goodrich's/Rawhide Transport's attorney name, Firm, and address.

Because of the damages we sustained to our truck and trailer. We are out of business. If anyone would like to speak to our attorney, Please let us know. we are currently filling suits against 2 parties and will be happy to entertain anyone else.

I filed a complaint on here this week - This guy is liar and doesn't care about horses at all, let alone their safety. What were the dates and locations of this? My horse was in "care" from 11/19 - 11/29 and arrived sick and injured (required 2 vets and a four day stay in Large Animal hospital. another horse was euthanized on the trailer due to his negligence and lack of care. He also put livestock on the trailer with the horses.

The horses were taken back to my stable. And they left this morning for their home? What are you Mad about? I have been in constant contact with the buyers and arranged transport.

What does that even mean? No I did not hire you, the buyers did. You picked up the horses at my ranch. I have been keeping them for an ill friend. You did leave them in the trailer on the side of the highway overnight with no food or water, and told the buyers that you had them at a boarding stable. I am very angry.
