After interviewing four management companies to manage and maintain a rental we own, we chose Real Property management based on their aggressiveness to find us a good renter.  We needed new carpet for the rental and after several weeks, we finally got our estimate. I had told the management over the phone, through emails, and through anyone I could talk to, to shut off the main power to the house each and every time they worked on the home. A month later, I received an electric bill for $128.00 and no one has been living there at all.  Neighbors have called me to find out why I'm running my A/C units 24/7.  The neighbors also noted the lights have been left on.  The management company is blaming the potential renter we had for leaving lights on and the A/C and refuse to pay the bill. (Because they take no responsibility in managing my property as requested). They gave him keys to the house 2 weeks before they were allowed to move in. 

 On top of that, they have changed the locks on my house over 4 weeks ago, and I still do not have a working key to my own house. I have requested a copy of the keys multiple times and they sent me the wrong ones.  I have emailed the manager twice since they sent me the wrong keys, and have had no response from him. (He doesn't have "time" to answer my calls or my questions and asked that I email him instead).  I have specifically requested that no one smoke on my property at all and a box of cigarettes was left on my front porch.  My grass and yard are dying because they aren't watering the lawn. Oh yeah, the potential renters? They got out of the UN-signed lease agreement due to the cockroaches we had. Don't blame them there, but shouldn't the property management company have noticed that weeks before they moved in and took care of it? 

 On top of that, I have repeatedly asked the management questions about who was going to move in to my house?  They would not tell me.  I asked them multiple times to see a lease agreement and they finally emailed it to me the day they were going to move in.  That's when I found out their names....and the lease wasn't even signed anyway!  Who puts renters into someone else's home without signatures?  DUH!  I am so fed up with these guys and will end up having to pay $300 just to break my agreement with them.  If I had $300, I'd do it in a hearbeat!!!!

Good ending to our relationship with RPM

I thought I would update my first complaints about our property management company, Real Property management from Southern Utah.  As things turned out, the renter they found for us ended up moving out before her lease was up.  We don't blame the property management company for this.  They did their best to provide us with the best renter that they could...and I honestly believe that.  I believe she was in too much financial trouble to keep up with the payments.  She keeps promising that she is telling the truth and the management company is lying, but we know better now not to believe her.  We ended our contract with the management company though.  We are done with the renting business and are glad Real property management company ended the lease agreement with us on good terms.  There are continuing issues with the renter stealing our property and although we have ended our agreement with the management, they are still willing to keep trying to get in touch with her and work towards getting our property back to us.  I didn't think things were going to end on a good note, but I'm glad they did.  No more angry feelings with them now.

Problems with Real Property Management have been resolved

This is an updated report for Real Property Management, St. George, Utah.  We own a home in Southern Utah and were having troubles with the renters, so we hired a property management company to handle any furtherproblems we might encounter with potential renters.  At first we did have some disagreements with them, but this report is to update the leader(s) that the issues we had have now been resolved.  They did find us a great renter and have been handling the collection of the rent.  So far things are going better now than they were before.

UPDATE:

I wanted to post an update to the situation we've had with Real Property Management. Since my last complaint to them over the issues we've had, we were able to come to an agreement that we feel is now working out much better than before. We are working better together now and we don't anticipate any more problems with them in the future.
