This company told me they would get my felony off my record. I can not find a job with it on my record.they took my $300.00 that I could not afford but had to for the sake of my family. they told me and gave me a paper stating that it would be all over in 3to6 months its been about 16 months now and they are not returning my many phone calls and e-mails.

I found them on the better buisness bureau and thats when I realized they were probably never going to call me back! so I called an atterney and he checked on it and they never filed a patition to the court or anything!! You can get these types of things off your records but I would strongly suggest you go to an atterney rather then trying to save money by using an internet company. I hope I got to you in time before you made the same mistake I did!! good luck

Again Client Refuses to Cooperate with Records Removal Services leaving his case hanging.

AUTHOR: Client services, records removal services - (U.S.A.)

Again, Mr. Andrews, you have failed to respond to us.

On two separate occasions once by email on 11/03/07 and once on 11/28/17 we requested you answer the questions we sent to you.  We MUST have these as these are MANDATED questions that must be answered for the Board on your application and as of this date we have never received these back.

As we have already stated in our correspondence to you these answers may be sent through the mail or you may return these through email.  But, before we can finish your case we must have you answer ALL of the questions.

We are eager to bring this to a close for you but have been unsuccessful in getting you to communicate with us.

If you have lost these questions I will be more than glad to send these to you again, please let me know which way you wish to receive these.

Should you wish to continue your case, please email accounts@recordsremoval.com so Records Removal Services can integrate you into our new state-of-the-art semi-automated system.

This Company Is Full of Scam Artists or Totally Incompetent

AUTHOR: Tony - (U.S.A.)

This company is either a scam or they are totally incompetent.

Based on the following facts, I am guessing the former.

1. This company's Better Business Bureau report is a difficult to achieve "unsatisfactory" rating
2. They don't list a physical address
3. They threaten customers
4. Their web site contains countless misstatements of law
5. They are practicing law without a license
6. They claim privileges of confidentiality that no court will honor

My advice would be to immediately call your credit card company and reverse the charges. The credit card company will back you because the agreement was procured by fraud (1. They are practicing law without a license and the benefits they are describe are not provided for in most states). This company may threaten you with bogus claims about filing a complaint with credit bureaus or a civil suit, but they are all bark. 1. The last thing a company committing fraud on a large scale would want to do is sue someone and be subject to discovery and that would unearth a long list other plaintiffs. 2. Suing someone over $300 is a waste of time.

Then contact an attorney or public defender and get quality assistance.

You can stick right back to people who commit fraud on the internet.

Seeking resolution

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

Good morning, Jordan. Thank you for taking a moment to reply, and I'd like to respond and address some points if I may. According to my saved emails (I saved everything from the very start) your timeline is somewhat inaccurate, even discounting my dozens of emails for case updates that had gone unanswered, or the promises from Nancy that success was imminent. When I do receive the infrequent email reply they are cryptic at best. Additionally, if all of your correspondence to members is conducted via email (including email with attachments), it is curious why you'd not accept replies to the very emails you send. Regardless, when I received Nancy's last email on September 2, 2008, I replied with the documents she requested attached and asked her to confirm receipt. Again no reply, either with confirmation or expressing the necessity to mail hardcopies. I was unaware that attachments were unacceptable, however had she taken a moment to reply and indicate this point perhaps we'd never have come to this point. Therefore, I ask of you to confirm your mailing address for me here or via email. I will send the completed pardon document via certified mail to the address Nancy provided (PO Box 676).

In examining the dates you have outlined, our records do not agree. For example, I received an email from Nancy on February 13, 2008, and not the 12th as indicated. The content of the email makes no mention of a missing document:

On Feb 13, 2008, at 7:12 PM, Nancy ******* (Records Removal Services) wrote:

The content of this email indicates imminent success, not the necessity of additional information. I am not trying to be unreasonable, but clearly the lines of communication have been inadequate. Had I been afforded the opportunity to speak with a live person just once, I am confident none of these issues would have persisted. I even attempted to call you back at the number dialed from when you left a message yesterday, and that too directs to voicemail.

With regard to your mention of privacy, I would certainly hope that you would protect client information both during and after your business transactions. You are trusted with sensitive information by your clients. My contract with you has no mention of my personal information being protected contingent upon your success or the preservation of the lines of communication and neither does your privacy policy (http://recordsremoval.com/Privacy/policy_privacy.htm).

As stated above I will send you the missing document and perhaps we can gain some resolution. I am a fair person, so upon our success I will gladly post on this site as such, and hopefully undo any doubt that may have been instilled by my posts as yet.

Thank you.
Peter

We do everything we promise.

AUTHOR: Client Services, Records Removal Services - (U.S.A.)

Yes Peter, we sleep very well at night.

The following emails had been sent to you at ( redacted by ROR) , your email address of record.

09/24/2007: Peter, Apparently you did not receive the company wide email that was sent out to all of our clients stating that all documents must be MAILED to us, we do not accept attachment or faxes. We have separate employees that receive these documents and their job is to scan the information into our system so your particular Specialist can view your information.

10/01/2007: Questions for Iowa pardon was emailed to client this date.

02/12/2008: Questions for Iowa pardon was emailed to client this date (again).

05/13/2008 - Final Attempt: Mr. F (portions deleted to protect your privacy even though we are no longer obligated to since you have breached your contract by not working with us): Your case manager is attempting to complete your paperwork so it can be mailed out but there are questions that he does not know the answer to. Please open the attachment and answer ALL questions, I have deleted the questions that we could answer from the paperwork that you sent to us.

Should you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me back. As soon as we receive these answers back your paperwork will be mailed that afternoon.

Still..... no response from the client.

I share the experience

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

I enrolled in the services of Records Removal Services (subsequently referred to as RRS) about one year ago and I too have received nothing but the run-around treatment. Currently I am assembling pertinent documentation, which I will present both to my attorney and to sites such as this. For now, the cursory details are as follows:

1. Arrived at their site via Google searching for related services.
2. Telephoned, left a voice mail, and received a return call within the hour.
3. Paid by credit card over the telephone in the sum of $300 (payment in full).
4. I was told that RRS would pull the associated police records by the sales agent. This seems not to be the case as I received a letter requesting me to complete this effort. Not a problem. As my offenses were two in number, and both very minor $50 fine convictions, the associated documents were readily retrieved at the local police department at a minimal fee. Mailed (and FAXed I believe) these documents to RRS.
5. Contacted RRS for an online login for account access and status updates. Request went ignored.
6. Contacted RRS every month, sometimes several times per month. Each time I was instructed to be patient and that resolution was imminent.
7. Received a form in the mail to complete and remit. Essentially this form was provided to detail my "side of the story" and included areas for me to make my plea, which would seem to be conveyed to the governor's office. Completed the form within the day and returned it in the next day's mail.
8. Again, repeated requests for an update went ignored. Responses only came on the heels of threats to initiate legal action, and were nothing but empty promises.
9. Received an email today stating that I was the party who was not responding to communication. I was informed that I had not replied to emails and postal mailings, and without my efforts RRS could not assist.

I am an educated and well accomplished individual, and I earned my station with fidelity and a word worth its weight in gold. I assure all readers and would-be clients of RRS that I have made every effort to progress my case with them to completion, however I have begun to have serious concerns about their capacity to offer any services beyond the acceptance of payment. While $300 is not a lot to me, and I could take such a loss in stride without issue, the salient issue here is that I do not enjoy feeling taken advantage of and my malcontent is a strong motivator for me to spend well beyond the $300 sum to hold those who profited from my payment responsible. A simple phone call could well resolve my concerns, but the agents are unwilling to accommodate as they are "far too busy" to field my call.

As I have researched this company, some interesting details seem to surface. A search into who operates their web services and what other projects that party engages in leaves some room for concern. Additionally, the distinct lack of response and the year of inaction seem indicative of an scam to me. It makes me wonder if RRS indeed has no ability to accomplish the services they advertise, and therefore preys on the desperation of many of its clients for a quick payday. Ignore them for a year and eventually they will stop emailing (or just mark them as spam and let your conscience rest easily), right?

My post is just a very brief summary of an ordeal that seems endless. I am sure that my post will receive a response from RRS faster than any of my other correspondences with them as perhaps this one may impact their ability to profit, whereas my emails directly to them simply come from someone they've already collected on.

My advice for persons interested in the services RRS provides would be to look before you leap. Had someone taken the time to detail their experiences such as I have here, I am quite sure I'd not have wasted my time. ...And to my friends at RRS - do you sleep well at night?

Expungement must be ordered by the court

AUTHOR: Client Services, Records Removal Services - (U.S.A.)

An example for the State of Michigan is below:

Michigan Statues - Expungement and Seals:

Purging of Non-conviction Information: 28.243
Sealing of Non-conviction Information: 333.7411; 769.4a, 750.350a(4)
Sealing of Conviction Information: 780.623; 712A.18e
Right to State Nonexistence of Record: 37.2205a

The person who comments that is isn't possible isn't correct. Records Removal Services is a great company, and I'm proud to work here.

It is possible

AUTHOR: Client Services, Records Removal Services - (U.S.A.)

It is NOT impossible to remove items from criminal records per various laws of the states. Each state has its own expungement law. In Kentucky for example, misdemeanors can be expunged, but not felonies.
