Purchased a spa from Recereational Factory Warehouse. I was told at time of purchase there would be no charges for delivery and setup.

I chose to return the spa. I called them, they said they would pick it up and there would be no charge to me.

It took two weeks for them to pick it up. They charged my card over $300 for delivery and pickup fees after the fact!

They are refusing to remove the charges from my account. I was lied to from the begining to the end! From the sales person, factory rep, right up to the store manager! I recommend NO ONE ever buy anything from this company!!!

#1 Consumer Suggestion

suggest calling your credit card company

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 30, 2003

Good Day Cindy,

Read your report and suggest calling your
credit card company, asking for security officer and telling them you did not make the charge - which is true. And you will not
pay for it. Any problems? "Show me my signature".

Immediately follow up that first phone call with a letter, registered, addressed to the head of credit card security. Make sure that letter is addressed to not only the credit card company, but also the "big three" in credit bureaus. I think one is called Esperian, another TransAmerica, and I am sorry but do not
recall the third. And send to all four parties.
At bottom of letter be sure to mention that
copies of this letter are sent to the credit
bureaus. Keep a copy of the letter yourself.

If the debit is not removed from your bill in 30
days, let me know, if you wish, at wolf030494@hotmail.com Not a lawyer, etc. Just
have battled like this already three times and in
each case the credit card company - Citibank Visa
has backed me up. Don't know if it is Visa or
Citibank or both but has worked well over last
decade. Citibank has recently gone to Mastercard
and I hope all still goes well, naturally.

Hope this all helps you, and good luck.

Charles

P.S As far as RFW goes - lots of smoking guns.
Thinking of buying a spa - will check BBB
