In December, 2012, my daughter accidentally put a non-redbox DVD into the Redbox kiosk. She immediately called Redbox and was assured that the movie would be returned to us. She gave Redbox our address, the exact location of where the kiosk was located as well as a phone number to call us with any issues. We were assured that the movie would be returned to us. Two weeks later and no movie, we call them again and this time they tell us its too late and its probably lost but that they would look into it. I call them again 3 months later and was basically told off by a supervisor by the name of KIM #35625153. Extremely rude and flippant, this supervisor told me that once the movie is in their kiosk, they are not responsible to return anything and that thousands of non-redbox movies get put into their boxes every day and they basically throw them away, even if someone has reported it and given all possible information for the return of the item. They also make you purchase a new DVD case so you can return their movie to them. We are out money and our own DVD and Redbox basically told us to pound sand. When I inquired about talking to her boss, Kim tells me that she is the highest ranking person that I can speak with, there is no one above her and if I want to speak to the CEO, I'll need to look it up on the internet myself because she was refusing to give me any further information.
