This was taken off facebook regarding students at the Newport News campus in Virginia. Harassing a student for no reason at all. Making death threats telling her to kill her self, calling her mental retarded. I think this school should consider closing their doors regarding this. Also suspend all students in the list regarding their threats.
A simple question turned into harassment, threats, bullying, name calling, and others. DO NOT go to this school.

We are all sitting here in class at another Regency, talking about student professionalism, and let me tell you, we are learning so much. Is this really how you treat others? its a surprise that any of you have anyone who cares about you in your life.

This information does not present to the context that is been said. Also it is clear, you do not understand how to read, what the context is in this report. You do not know about this school, nor should you have posted about crazy stuff. No one has asked anyone to do fraud, or asked someone to change anything regarding attendance. Where do you even come up with this mess? Where did you come up with theft as well? No one said anything about theft.
The reasons for clocking out are always as follows:
Breaking dress code rules - Heather Fu never was sent home for dress code breakage of rules! She was always in the dress code, that was put into black and white!
Clocking in and not at your assigned work area - I believe no one I have seen never did any of this stuff. Everyone was where they was suppose to!
Arguing with an Instructor in front of other students or clients - No one argued with any teacher infront of other students.
Refusal of a service on a client - Heather Fu NEVER REFUSED A CLIENT!!!!!
Taking exessive or unassigned breaks without prior permission - Heather Fu was always back on time from breaks. She never took any unassigned breaks.
Vulgar, unprofessional language, or outright cussing - Heather Fu NEVER CURSED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS. Or used any unprofessional language.
Disrespctful behavior or interefering with the education of a fellow student - This NEVER HAPPENED with Heather Fu
Also to your gossip, that is wrong as well, this is true evidence, and not gossip. I think you need to read what is going on, before you post unnecessary stuff.

These posts are false information. I know Heather Fu very closely, and I also went to regency. I know how people treated her. She is 100 percent correct. I also seen the convo's regarding the Facebook situation, and of course, Heather Fu never said anything about bombing the school, there was a threat about, her to go kill herself. I found very disappointed I am wasting my money on this school, while a friend has been bullied, harassed, jumped, and been told to go kill herself. This is a school I do not recommend to anyone to join. This school is not good at all. They do not care about the students; they only care about the money. Like i said, I am a very close friend of Heathers. Everything she said is true and honest. She does not lie to get her way. Also I have seen her do a very good job on a blowout. I don't understand how you
immature people, say she cant do this, and cant do that. You all are wrong. You only seen Heather as a retard, which I have heard all of you say she was that. I also heard from educators that people in the first class, said "Heather looks like a killer" How dare you say that? If a person does not want to go to school to make friends, then that is on him or her! They are there for an education, not to be JUMPED, bullied, have death threats, and be made fun of.
Also my friend does have a lawyer, and the lawyer has been posting stuff on her, to protect his client. So you all need to keep your own noises out of other peoples business. My friend, is a very honest, and trust worthy person. I have seen, and talked to her, while people made fun of her, and yeah, I know its true, because I have seen it, and I have heard it! You people made judgments about her, before she even went out on the floor, while she was still on workshop. Why should people trust you? All you did was made her go to therapy for the bullying, the jumping, and the harassment. You all should be paying her bill.
I hope the law shuts down all of regency schools, and pulls everyone's licenses from the class that harassed her, and the person who jumped her. Look luck in getting a job, because you pull that mess at your employer, you will be fired
in a heartbeat. I feel sorry for all of you that have said rude things about Heather Fu. She is a sweet heart, I am glad I am her friend. If you would have gotten to know her, instead of making prejudgment about her, you would have
found out she is a kind, and loving person to know.

I attended Regency in Little Rock AR. I attended school there for a month and recieved death threats, I had tampons thrown at me, I was bullied relentlessly. I tried to find someone to help but the students could cuss me out in front of the instructor and she would sit back and laugh. One time a student told me, "Shut up you stupid skinny white b**ch. You just a stupid hoe." and the instructor laughed. I was mortified. I had flawless grades and now attend a university in Arkansas. I'm not at all bullied there. My experience at Regency was heart breaking. I was a student very eager to learn and the instructors, principal, financial aid advisor, student advisor, and anyone else I spoke to couldn't help me. I was scared so I no longer attended the school. Then I received a bill in the mail for 5,000 dollars I can't afford. My husband lost his job with the military and now works as an EMT while I stay home with our daughter and attend school. I can't pay 5,000 to a school that only supplied me with nightmares and counseling bills. I'm sorry but I would not recommend this school.

I found this on another post about Regency and found it fitting, please let your client read it so she may understand the industry a little better.
"It is clear that you have no understanding of Cosmetology or it's practices. So let me tell you what you don't know about your
situation and maybe you might understand what is going on. I'll try to address this as you stated it. I mean no disrespect, and some of this may seem harsh, but it is the truth of Cosmetology schools and it's the standard by which all of those you admire in the industry started with. Everyone you respect in this industry started right where you are in the same kind of school and the same rules. "Douglas J and Excel offer product kits to to their students" Fabulous... and when they're empty? They are not replaced. You will have to purchase them yourself. That's cute but no where near practical in a long program.
"We found seats next to people we "felt we could learn from"? (ok I'm paraphrasing)" That's wonderful, but the "few always spoil it for the many", so while you were diligently working and maybe even minding your own business? There were far too many playing around with their friends to bother actually doing the work. Are you there for your education? Or are you there to socialize and do as you please? You are not paying them todo your bidding, you are paying for the priviledge of a secondary
education that is accelerated.
"If the "computer makes an error" and doesn't count your hours Regency will not fix it."
If you look at the laws and regulations of the State Board in your state? You will find that it is a matter of law... not capability.
Should they alter that record in any way? The school would be commiting fraud on your behalf, even if the time clock is to blame. Not very nice I know, but it IS a matter of law. It has also been mandated that all clocks be fingerprint or handprint in order to stop time clock fraud by other students using a scan card or punch card for a different student to clock them in and give them hours when they weren't ever there. It is law in all states. It is also the greatest excuse for a student to claim the "time clock did it". That may not be your behavior, but trust me there are students who lay awake at night drumming up ways to get
away with time clock fraud. As for your Phase 1 or Freshman classes? You are not supposed to be "good at it" or even understand it. Phase 1 is an experience of the very basic methods. It is to learn about the concepts and laws and nothing
more. It would take your whole program and 3-5 years more to be good at ANY of the things you learn. This is a common misconception, and every freshman makes this complaint. It is the lack of knowing how the program works that causes the fear every Freshman faces when going out to the clinic floor.
Every school is frought with theft. Theft is never the responsibility of the school, and generally speaking, those that have theft, usually left their items for exceptionally long periods of time and then claim to have been gone for only 5 minutes, or just turned around and then turned back. All the while they had already been cited for their exessive absense (unknown to them of course). There you have the time clock fraud again, not being where you were supposed to be, when you were supposed to be there. It is always possible to have your things stolen, and I'm sure it does actually happen, but not as often the way people claim it to be happening.
The reasons for clocking out are always as follows:
Breaking dress code rules
Clocking in and not at your assigned work area
Arguing with an Instructor in front of other students or clients
Refusal of a service on a client
Taking exessive or unassigned breaks without prior permission
Vulgar, unprofessional language, or outright cussing
Disrespctful behavior or interefering with the education of a fellow student
And many many more...
Some the school contract dictates, some is a matter of State Law.
Your complaint consists of gossip from other students, a lack of understanding of the profession, and a sense of entitlement.
Please realize you are there to get an education and to pass your State Board exam. You are not there to do as you please. You are not "paying them to work for you". They are providing an education and that costs money. You have a law book and all of the laws that are required of you and the school, why are you not consulting that for information? You signed a contract that included rules. Did you sign without reading them?

You keep saying "your client" etc. etc. but if you were her "attorney" you wouldnt be posting on this website. We know its you Heather, just like you posted other things on here about Regency Beauty Institute in Newport News under false names as well. If you did in fact record 8 hours of class, thats just sad. And its also unconstitutional and would never hold up in a court of law. Just because she recorded one 8 hour day does not mean she never threatened to blow up the school, it just proves she didnt say it at that time. I dont understand why you have to keep going with this. There is no way you are currently working in a salon, according to the state law and the state board of cosmetologist you are required to have 1500 hours of cosmetology training before entering the salon. Upon completion of school if you want to work in a salon immediately you have to work underneath the manager of a salon as an internship before you take your state board examination. If you decide to do the whole apprenticeship then you are required twice as much time as an apprentice. So the only way "your client" could possibly be working in a salon is if you have an internship, which quite frankly, I dont think that Heather would be able to acquire one. She couldn't even blow dry a clients hair! Noone is lying here except for you Heather, or should I say "your client", its ridiculous. You're ridiculous. This whole thing is ridiculous. You're just mad because you kept getting yourself into trouble because you couldn't handle any sort of pressure and as soon as you got frustrated, you took it out on your fellow students or clients. I have all the evidence that I need from my client. Some of you do not know, that my client had recorded everything at school for the whole 8 hours she was there. She never cursed and was asked to go home for her cursing, she never threatened to blow up the school. Your information is wrong, and you need to stop saying this about my client. It is funny how people lie, to get their story across, but do not know the "true" story behind someone, or know all the facts behind it. Also my client is working in a salon right now, so yes cosmetology is for my client. So stop your lies, and get the fact straight.

Heather Fu was just not meant to do hair, as was the case for several other students who joined the school but have since dropped out. Regency Beauty is a very respected nationwide school that has a high reputation in the cosmetology field. Heather Fu HAS made several comments regarding race and sexual orientation of other students. This conversation was copied AFTER Heather Fu deleted several. I am currently a student at Regency Beauty and of course there are daily issues as would be any place of school or work where you are surrounded with the same people everyday, all day long. Heather was a very rude person at the school, several attempts were made to be friendly towards her but it never helped. She told everyone at the school that she was an, and I quote, "evil teddy bear". She said several times when she was asked to clock out and go home because of her cursing problem that she wanted to blow up the school. These are not false accusations, but things that she actually said. Do I think that she was wrong for acting the way she did? Not necessarily because I understand how that environment and be quite intimidating. However, there was no excuse for the way she treated people on a daily basis. In response to the last comment made on this post, you keep calling her " your client" so I'm assuming you are her lawyer? If that is the case I highly recommend you get some statements from the students who were not involved and just saw the actions on a daily basis. That way you can fully understand how "your client" actually was while enrolled at the school. Cosmetology isn't for everyone, especially people who can't take any form of constructive criticism. Am I glad Heather unenrolled? Yes, she was not a good fit for this career and I'm glad she realized that. I don't want anyone to think that this school is a bad school, because it isn't. It's a beautiful, modern building and a fast paced program. We offer full salon services everyday except Sunday for unbelievably low prices! The students are truly well trained and know how to do a lot. Of course, this is a school and you need to understand that sometimes people are not as proficient as others, for example Heather couldn't blow dry people or do most of the standard things, her timing as about half as slow as most students. It happens because we are all students and practice makes perfect. The difference between other slower students and Heather? The students adapt and get better with time, Heather would stat cursing and stop doing the service on the client as soon as frustration hit her.
Do not let these posts prevent you from coming to this school as a future student or client. The campus is amazing, and you know what they say, "Don't take my word for it, find out for yourself!"

The stuff, was copied and pasted straight from the facebook link, and page. Which was also reported to facebook for the threats on them, and insulting words. The school needs to be shut down, it is not a good school at all. I have seen the reports Heather Fu has filed with my company, and everything the client says is true. My client printed out the report, and brought it to my office, and I read everything on the report. We also investigated her facebook page as well, and everything CJ said is false information, and is a lie. No one threatened to blow up a school, or kill anyone! There was a comment from a person who said something about my client "now don't go blowing up the school" Also this person who filed a report also told my client to go kill her self! I will re-quote that as well. "Cj McRoy "Go do us all a favor and kill urself" . Ur a waste of life b*tch. " I believe my evidence is much stronger then your evidence.

This was taken off my facebook page, and most of this conversation was editid. Heather Fu has threatened to blow up our campus,and made very racial and homophobic comments which made most students very uset. Many of her comments are not shown here. But that is not the point, anyone who is reading this post should not let facebook drama give you the wrong impression of our school. I truly feel Regency provides a great education , and is very welcomming to everyone. The educators are amazing and have great patience with their students. I have nothing negitive to say about this school. Regency has made my beauty school experience the best it could possibly be. If you are intrested in the cosmetology feld i would recommend our campus to you!
