I went into Regency Furniture store in Fredericksburg, VA on Sep 4th to purchase an additional piece for my couch. I wanted to buy the ottoman and I knew the price of the item was approximately $259.
As I got closer to the doors I saw huge signs that said Half Off Everything. I was excited! I met with my sales person and she said the item was $219 and I knew that couldn't be. So I asked about the pricing and she said that Half Off meant Half Off the manufacturer's price (as if I had that info readily available to me!).
So I spoke with the manager and he gave me all these other stories of other people angry because they wanted half off furniture also. [continued below]....
I explained to the manager that EVERYTHING meant everything in the store because the sign did not state otherwise.
Here is some important info: A rep from the main office called me a few mins ago to tell me that the MSRP was $438 and the Half Off price is $219!! She said that the tag behind the sales tag said $438!! THIS IS A LIE!!
