Regis Regal German Shepherds Cindy and Clark Kelly Regis Regal - Cindy and Clark Kelly continue to neglect following the STANDARD series of vaccinations to protect puppies against the DEADLY PARVO disease Spring Grove, Illinois

After meeting with Cindy Kelly for over 2 hours, she said "I have the dog for you." We went out back and the dog was brought outside, I immediately fell in love with him! The next day I contacted the Kelly's to let them know I wanted him.

Cindy went on and on about how they had numerous awards and worked very close with Mittelwest  breeders, which is advertised in their "buyers folders" I followed up with Mittelwest  and was shocked to discover that they want NOTHING to do with Regis Regal and are not affiliated with them in any way.


Soon after purchasing my dog, I discovered he was EXTREMELY disobedient and had no training at all. I reached out to the Kelly’s and was advised to return for training on "light leash work"


On the day I returned for the so called "training" Cindy decided to administer a shot. When I asked what she was doing and what the shot was for she stated "Oh it’s a little of everything." She then sent a kennel worker, who by the way was no older than 17 into the main house for a shot record folder.


When the teenager returned, the folder was empty. She had no records of any shots or REQUIRED VACCINES that had been administered to my dog since birth. She filled it out by her memory! How does a legitimate breeder NOT have accurate up to date records? Less than 2 weeks later my 6 month old dog became DEADLY ILL.


I placed several panic stricken calls to the Kelly’s with no response. After multiple calls they finally responded and told me NOT to allow the vet to do any invasive testing! Naturally I followed their advice that night. The next morning his health deteriorated and I immediately rushed him to the Emergency Animal Hospital in Grayslake again.


They immediately ran tests which came back POSITIVE for the PARVO VIRUS a deadly disease. The emergency veterinarians informed me that if “a 6 month old dog of his size received the PROPER SERIES OF SHOTS  from birth, he would never have been infected with such a severe case of this DEADLY DISEASE.”


My puppy was hospitalized for 5 days, quarantined, had to be force fed and received a BLOOD TRANSFUSION. After paying $4,500 in hospital bills in addition to the purchase price of $3,000, I now have a $7,500 dog! The Kelly’s were nowhere to be found and never returned a call. When I finally heard from Cindy, I told her about the bill, her reply was “we will work something out.” Yet ANOTHER LIE! Time passed and with close observation and hand feeding at home, I nursed him back to health.
 
Cindy and Clark Kelly are deceitful, money hungry, unorganized and unethical business owners who don’t deserve the privilege to own the dogs they have, never mind breed them. I have also yet to receive my dogs AKC papers, almost a year and a half later and no AKC papers for a $3,000 dog? I have filed complaints through the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU as well. I now have REGIS REGAL employees contacting me informing me that they have quit.
 
REGIS REGAL KENNEL EMPLOYEES ARE QUITTING! The employees have integrity and do not condone this breeders unethical practices and mishandling of innocent dogs and puppies. This breeder is a puppymill and should be investigated and shut down.
 
I have read other complaints and my heart goes out to the families who have lost their dogs due to illness and inbreeding. Buyer beware!
